After Kaori died, Kousei knew it was useless to cry and be depressed, so he decided to have another goal.

He wanted to be a doctor, Kousei wanted to find- no make a cure of Kaori's disease know as Friedreich's Ataxia.

It was a very rare disease, the person that have the disease can't live pass 20, which is the same case as Kaori.

After highschool he entered a medical college, and studied about bone diseases, years after graduating he became one of the best surgeons in the world thought, he still was creating a cure of this disease called Friedreich's Ataxia.

He didn't neglected pianoing, as he keep creating a cure, Tsubaki Sawabe became his girlfriend but he didn't take her seriously, he had only accepted her because of his guilt.

He knew that she loves him but he couldn't love her back, they might be an official couple but it's one-sided to him Kaori was the one.

Eventually as they age thirties, Kousei decided to marry Tsubaki and she happily agreed, after a year they got married.

Ryota Watari was happy for them, after the marriage they has their first night, thought they were a couple for years Kousei didn't touch Tsubaki until today.

And years went by Tsubaki got pregnant and became a Mother, they had a daughter, and Kousei naturally named her Kaori Arima, Tsubaki didn't stop him, she knew she couldn't change his mind.

Actually Tsubaki knew that Kousei couldn't love her, but she is fine as long, as she's with him she is satisfied.

Years went by Kaori is now 10 years old, Kousei had been a good father to her, treating her like a princess, and so did Tsubaki.

They were surprised that Kaori wanted to play violin, and they didn't stop her for it is what she likes.

Over the years Kousei became a world famous surgeon, that has created many cures on bones diseases but he still hasn't Completed the cure for Friedreich's Ataxia.

But Kousei knew he was getting near of completing it, he needed more time.

5 years went by, his daughter Kaori is now 15, he watched her play, Kousei remembered his youth while his daughter was playing the violin.

He started to remember when he and Kaori played the music together, he couldn't stop the tears in his eyes and clenched his fist he swears that no matter what he'll create a cure.

As the music ended, he felt motivated and couldn't wait to test some samples in his laboratory, but before that he congratulate his daughter for winning the first spot.

10 years later, he is already on the peak of his research of the cure, in these years many things happened, Kaori Arima got married and had a happy life and is currently pregnant.

Kousei couldn't be more happy seeing his daughter became happy, and also Tsubaki died because of cancer, he was devastated thought he didn't love her, she was one of the Pillars of support in his life, she was important to him.

But because of his daughter and for the sake of making the cure he still lives on, and he still had to see his grandchildren.

At the age of 65 he finally had his first grandson, he had personally named him Raku, he spoiled his grandson as he did in Kaori in the past.

At the age of 70 he finally made a cure and he was happy beyond belief, he succeeded! it has saved few people who had the same disease as Kaori Miyazono.

And as if it was he purpose in the world, he died later because of being old, Kaori cried at Kousei's death and so Raku.

They mourned in his death and also the family of those he cured.

Kousei died smiling, he was satisfied in his achievement, he successful made a cure, and now if heaven was real I would stand proudly in front of Kaori.

He is felt like he was in an endless darkness, and he suddenly felt the wind was blowing around him, as he opened his eyes.

He saw a blonde teen dancing in the play ground, she was playing the piano flute, as the birds were flying around her.

Kousei tears falls in his face, he has been dreaming and imaging this scene in front of him many times it was the girl he loves.

Kousei " Kaori.."

Kaori " Huh? "

I Kaori Miyazono is currently playing at the park in the 3 : 00 PM of afternoon, it was the very first day in April.

Before the competition in TOWA HALL, I wanted to relax a bit, so I decided to play in the park and I played the ( Melodica ) above the little stone house.

As I play the music, some children arrived, and they started to play their instruments along with me, I happily played a classic music.

Suddenly there is also a guy, arrived I thought his just gonna ignore me while playing, yet he didn't, he seems to enjoy my music and I didn't bother, but he suddenly took a picture of his phone at me.

I didn't mind at first, but suddenly the wind blows and it lift up my skirt and at the same time he took a picture of me!

I thought ' His a pervert! he ruined my chance of marriage! I got to beat him up! '

As I was about to go down, I saw him dropping his phone and looked at me in daze, thought ' What happened to him? '

Suddenly I saw him starting to tear up, I suddenly got nervous ' What happened to him?! why did he start crying?? '

Suddenly the guy did something unexpected.

Kousei thought that he was in heaven and Kaori was waiting for him, he dashed toward the spot that Kaori was standing.

He suddenly hugs her, while he was crying " I'm happy to see you again Kaori! " he hugs her more tightly.

Kaori was blushing, her face was beet red this was the first time a guy hugged her! except for her father, she couldn't take it anymore she pushed him, and slaps his face and shouted " Pervert! "

Kousei was starting to fall " Woah! woaah!! "

Bam!

He got his ass in the floor, his butt was aching he said " What the hell? isn't heaven supposed to be free in pain? what is this? it was as if... reality? "

Kousei was confused at his current situation, he touches his cheeks where Kaori slapped him, he said " Ouch! it definitely hurts! "

Kaori who heard his mumbling " Huh? heaven? what do you mean heaven! are you half asleep? we are in Japan! "

Kousei looked at Kaori and thought ' She is really Kaori...but why didn't - wait wait! could I have been time-traveled?! wait wait! I must not think of that I should gain some information to prove it! '

The contempt in Kaori eyes disappeared, instead she walked in front of him and said " I'm sorry for slapping you! "

Kousei waves his hand " No, it's fine I should be the one who should be apologizing for hugging you. "

Kaori " Aren't you the famed Arima Kousei right? the one who always plays with a perfect pitch? "

Kousei " Yeah that's me but, I've stop playing for a while now due to some reasons, also I'm not that famous. " he scratched his head.

Kaori " Actually i- "

But before she could finish her sentence, Ryota and Tsubaki arrived, Ryota " Oh? how surprising! you actually knows someone besides us! "

Tsubaki " Kao-chan?! you guys know each other? "

There was a hint of Jealousy in her tone, and naturally Kousei noticed that, they weren't a husband and wife for a decades, for nothing, so naturally he knows " Well, I could take that as yes, we've just met today. "

Ryota and Tsubaki got surprised, Kousei was the kind of person that is unsociable boring and mostly dense but it was the former Kousei and not the current one.

His two friends got stunned, they never saw him smiled brightly before! they thought it because of the girl in front of them.

Chapter 3~

(A/N : Okay, I'm really sorry about the last chapter I realized that it has plenty of mistakes and whatnot, but I've edited it I'd been re-watching the anime for the sake of making the story similar but different at the same, don't worry now you'll find similar scene starting from now.)

Kaori introduce herself, Tsubaki said " Ryota, she is actually the one, that I'd like you to meet! my classmate Kao-chan! "

Ryota shouted ' Tsubaki good job! she's really cute! '

Tsubaki introduced Ryota " Kao-chan! this is Ryota Watari, he might not look like it but he is the captain of the soccer team! "

Ryota acted cool " Nice to meet you! "

Kaori moved toward Ryota, and said with an admiring expression " Really?! that's so awesome! "

Ryota laughed " Haha! it's not nothing, your so cute! "

Kaori happily said " Thank you! "

Kousei looked at them smiling ' So this is how they acted huh... Kaori really acted as if she likes Ryota, she did a good job really, if I wasn't so dense before.... well forget that i am not the old Kousei, this little stuff won't bother me anymore. '

Tsubaki looked at him with a teasing expression " Friend A, what do you think? "

Kousei flick his finger in Tsubaki's forehead *Tok Tsubaki said angrily " Ouch! what was that for?! "

" Nothing, just a old habit. " Kousei smiled, back then, he used to flick her forehead, ever since they stared dating in the future, he missed it.

" Your being weird you know? " Tsubaki complained for what he did.

" Weird or not it's nostalgic. " Kousei answered with a smile.

" Huh? you know your being weird today. " Tsubaki stated her thoughts.

" Not really, I am being me. " he said while walking toward, Kaori and Ryota.

Tsubaki couldn't understand Kousei this time, she felt that he was more mature?

Kousei opened his mouth " Okay guys stop flirting. "

Ryota " Huh? Kousei that's unlike the usual you! "

Ryota knows his nature, he wouldn't have a courage to interfere unless it was really urgent.

Kaori got nervous, she thinks that Kousei misunderstood them " W-we are not flirting you know! "

" Yeah, doesn't matter but shouldn't you get ready? the competition is starting. " he said while reminding her.

Kaori eyes widened and said " How did you know?? "

Kousei didn't say anything and pointed at her pink violin container, Kaori realized " Oh right! but..how did you know I'm joining? "

" Do you really have to say something obvious? of course I had readed it a while ago that there is a competition in TOWA HALL, and who else would bring a violin other than the participants? " Kousei told a lie, with a straight face but it was a lie that actually makes sense.

Kaori realized it and bowed " I'm sorry for doubting you! "

Ryota said with surprise " Woah! Kaori-chan you play violin?! cool! "

Kaori " Yes! you guys wanna see the competition? "

Tsubaki and Ryota nodded, Kaori looked at Kousei with a hopeful expression, it's obvious that she wanted him to watch her perform.

Kousei smiled " Sure! "

Tsubaki got stunned at Kousei words, to her Kousei was supposed to be afraid of going in the HALL because he had an unpleasant memories there.

If he was the old Kousei, then he would undoubtedly hesitate but since he was the Kousei from the future, he doesn't care about such trival stuff, since that problem was solved a long time ago.

They started to run along with Kaori, as they run toward the hall entrance Tsubaki asked Kaori while running " What time will the competition start? "

" Uhm...the door opens in 3:00 and the thing starts in 3:30! " Kaori said while running.

" Huh? it's already 3:20 you know! you got to hurry! " said Ryota while running toward the hall.

Tsubaki saidid worriedly said " Crap! it's starting! "

" Don't worry I'm 4th one to play " Kaori said while they are already inside the hall.

As they arrived Kaori said " Okay! yush see you guys later! I got to change. "

Tsubaki " Good luck Kao-chan! "

Ryota " Best of luck Kaori-chan! "

Kaori gaze was in Kousei, he smiled and said " I'll be watching you, good luck. "

Kaori smiled brightly, she was happy to be watched by her idol, she goes inside the backdoor.

And leaving them outside Tsubaki looked at the boys " Let's go. "

They are now in the most inside of the hall, Ryota said " It has a little space than I expected. "

Tsubaki she sneered " Just what do you expect? "

Kousei was is a nostalgic state, for he is truly in the past, he missed the air of the old hall, in the near future this hall would certainly changed.

As he goes down, there were many people recognize him and they started to talk about him.

Person 1 " Isn't that Arima Kousei? "

Person 2 " Yeah! the guy who do a perfect pitch every play! "

Person 3 " Woah! his already huge, the last time I saw him he was still an elementary schooler. "

Person 4 " I thought, he went abroad! "

Kousei ignored them, he felt it was familiar, he probably heard it too in the past, he doesn't care either way.

The trio sits down in the couch, they waited for the competition to start.

Tsubaki teased " Oh? aren't you famous Kousei~? "

Kousei shurgs " Doesn't matter anymore, so just shut up for now cause the competition will start. "

" Seriously this isn't like you Kousei. " Tsubaki was truly confused at Kousei's behavior today, she felt that he had changed, and suddenly in her view Kousei looked even more attractive more than before.

Tsubaki heart beat started to beat more than usual, she calm down herself ' Tsubaki.. Tsubaki...I don't know what happened to Kousei but please calm down my heart...he became more attractive I suppose.. '

She stared at Kousei and sigh she knew that he was dense, so he wouldn't know how she truly felt about him.

Kousei naturally noticed that Tsubaki was staring at him, he naturally knew that she has a feelings for him.

He might be called a bastard for this but, he just sees her as a best friend, he couldn't just love her.

And after for a few minutes of waiting the competition finally starting.

Chapter 4~

(A/N : Uhmm....okay as I re-watched the anime series of Your Lie In April, the more harder for me to ignore Tsubaki...well 2 girls at the same time...err how do I say this troublesome.)

The competition started, the first contestant and his pianist are now in the stage, the first contestant is an above average male, he had light black hair.

They both bowed, and started, the set piece is Beethoven Violin Sonata No. 9. The Kreutzer.

The violinist started to play the first part, and the pianoist.

As they started Ryota has already fell asleep, the people who was watching him thought ' His asleep already?! ' Tsubaki looked weirdly at Ryota.

Kousei smiled warily, and continued to focuse in the competition, the violinist was good but there is a few missing point.

He wasn't a musician for decades for nothing, he had once won a international level competition, and he had been a judge for a several times on some international and national competition.

As the contestant finished his performance, he said " So-so. "

Tsubaki has her gaze on him " You sure talk big for someone who hasn't played piano for a whole 2 years. "

Kousei shrugs and said " But I had experience, naturally I have the right to say that because it true. "

Tsubaki sneered " Prove it! join a piano competition! "

Kousei simply answered " Sure, I'd do that anyway. "

In his past life, it been almost a few decades since he last joined a competition, but he skills didn't get rusty, because playing piano is a daily thing for him.

The competition, continued the next contestant is a girl, the violinist and the pianist bowed, and they started to play the same piece.

He knew it's hard to play the Violin, but he is being real of his opinion, after 3rd contestant finished, it's finally Kaori's turn.

Even before the play started, he was already grinned ear to ear, he was really excited, because to him this moment, this competition is the reason his life changed.

And as for the other reason, he wanted to see Kaori play, Tsubaki looked at him with a wide eyes and asked " Kousei, what happened to you? why are you grinning? anyway you should wake Ryota up! "

Kousei nodded, and he doesn't want to bother shaking him so, he simply slapped Ryota in the face.

Ryota screamed " AHHH! IT HURTS! who slapped me?! "

Tsubaki was speechless at Kousei action, she thought ' When he became to cunning?! ' Ryota believe Kousei " Is that so? I never knew there is a mosquito here, man they should really get some new Air-con. "

Kousei smiled " You bet, by the way it's Kaori's turn now. "

Ryota suddenly got excited " Oh?! where is she.. "

He started to look at the stage and spotted Kaori and he shouted when he saw Kaori " Kaori-chan! kawaii! your so cute and beautiful!! "

Tsubaki also shouted with him, forgetting Kousei actions a few moments ago.

Kaori and her pianist bowed in front of the crowd, Kaori is now in the position, and she took a deep breath and her gaze was on Kousei.

Kousei noticed her gaze and winked at her, and making Kaori blush a little, and so she started to play the same piece.

At the first tempo was the same, it continued for a few seconds, after for few moments, the tempo and dynamic is becoming more wild and it made the Audience stunned.

A random guy " It's the same piece right? "

Kaori was wildly playing her violin, it's making the crowd excited, while Kousei was smiling a few tears was falling in his eyes and wipes it

Kousei thought ' Yes, this the scene that I wanted to see...I've been always dreaming and imaging this scene in front of me...it was so beautiful. '

Tsubaki notice Kousei's tears, and she was worried, but still silent because he was crying not in sadness but happiness instead.

As Kaori play, Kousei's heartbeat was getting faster and faster he mumbled " It's been a while since I've felt this feeling...it's nice. "

But no one heard him except for himself, while Tsubaki was back at cheering and so Ryota.

Kaori continued her high pace play, the pianist was having a hard time keeping up, the head judge was angry at Kaori, true the piece was the same but the Tempo and Dynamics were all over the place.

In a competition it's a taboo to not follow the original tempo, and that is an undeniable fact.

So basically she from the moment, she went wild she already lost in the competition.

But she had won the crowd support, as she finished her music, almost all the audience stood up and clapping their hand crazily.

Ryota was shouting Kaori-chan your cute, and Tsubaki was crazily clapping she was happy in her friend performance.

Kousei also stood up smiling while clapping and thought ' It's good to see you perform again Kaori...this time...I won't let you die! '

After the performance, Ryota realized that Kaori wasn't supposed to win, he asked why Kousei simply answered " It's the rule, for example Ryota in a soccer competition, and you aren't the keeper will you touch the ball? "

Tsubaki shouted " Tsk! boring, your act like an old man! "

Kousei got silent for a while and thought ' It's because I am... ' and then Kaori moved near him and asked " So how was my performance it's good right? " she said while smiling.

" Good? it's not! " said Kousei, and Kaori body trembled and Ryota, Tsubaki was about to get angry at Kousei for saying such harsh words, Kaori was in a verge of crying.

Kousei continue with a smile " It was really beautiful isn't it? "

Kaori eyes widened, and as if that sadness from before was just vanished like it doesn't exist in the first place she smiled brightly " Mhm, I see! "

She walked into Ryota's direction.

Kousei thought ' Let's take it slowly for now. " he smiled.

Chapter 5~

(A/N : Before I start, I won't be Ntring Kousei, and I won't let Kaori became Ryota's girlfriend. )

After the competition in the Towa Hall, they goes home together, they were talking about random stuff.

Kousei was silent through the whole conversation, why? he doesn't have any idea what they were talking about, they were talking what is the popular there, that and etc.

He had forgotten almost everything in this year, his old brain remembered some important stuffs only.

Ryota was the first one to say goodbye, and after that we continue to walk, while they did Kousei looked at Kaori, he keep looking at her till it was noticed by Tsubaki and said angrily " You pervert! why do keep staring at Kao-chan?! "

Kaori also glared at him, but wasn't really can be called a hateful glare more like, it's hinting to look at her more, Kousei said the facts " Why? is it wrong to look at a beauty? "

Kaori blushed, Tsubaki got annoyed " Huh?! aren't I a beauty! "

Kousei stared at Tsubaki and smiled " Yes, Tsubaki your beautiful.. honestly. "

Tsubaki heart skipped a beat, she didn't expect Kousei to say those words, in the end she blushed and said " I-is that so... hehehe..I'm beautiful. "

Kousei smiled and thought ' Your so easy Tsubaki! ' Kaori doesn't know what to feel, she knew that, she had no right to be jealous but still, she hates it when, she saw Kousei flirting!

" Ahem- why don't you guys stop that your making the atmosphere awkward! " said Kaori, she felt like, she needed to say that or she wouldn't feel comfortable.

Kousei looked at Kaori and said " Right, are you jealous? "

" W-why would I be jealous?! do you think I like you! " she said while, blushing a little.

Kousei thought ' Your so obvious...damn what was the old me thinking back there, it's pretty obvious that she has feelings for me. ' he sigh, and Kousei teased her " Is that so? too bad I like you thought. "

He acts to have a sad face, Tsubaki got an 😮 face, and Kaori was madly blushing " I-i-i. "

Kousei giggles, and Kaori realized that he was teasing her! unforgivable, playing a maidens heart! her body unconsciously moved and kicks his legs.

" Ouch! pftt- Hahahaha did you got mad? sorry, sorry I couldn't help myself. " said Kousei while laughing a little.

Tsubaki finally realized, that Kousei was just teasing Kaori, she sigh in relief but she doesn't understand why did you feel that, she started to think of Kousei and Kaori together, her heart suddenly started to feel uncomfortable and it hurts a little.

Kaori got angry look, while looking at Kousei, while Kousei thought while smiling ' Her violent side is still there huh..how nostalgic. '

After that Kousei didn't tease her anymore, thought he tried to make a conversation, he was ignored but after for a few times of trying she finally started to talk back, thought she was still annoyed in the fact that Kousei teased her with that.

Thought she wished it was serious, after for a few moments Kaori needs to go in the other road, and they said they're laters and Tsubaki, Kousei is the only ones that is walking together.

The two got silent, but they continued to walk till they arrived at near their houses, Tsubaki goes in to her house and Kousei followed.

And which made Tsubaki Confused, she asked " Kousei? what are following me for? your house is over there. "

Kousei got a confused looked and said " Huh? what you talking about this is- "

He paused for a while and suddenly remembered that he wasn't in wasn't in the future yet! it because since the two got married in his previous life, the house of Tsubaki is where they both lived.

Kousei did it as a habit, he thought ' That was close, I need to get out of here! ' he looked at Tsubaki and said " Ah... sorry I didn't realize that. "

Tsubaki looked weirdly at Kousei " Your being strange today, you know that Kousei.. "

Tsubaki, nodded but she still is bit suspicious of Kousei, and Kousei is now In his old house, he looked at the house, he feels strangely comfortable, in the future it's not like this house was demolished or something, after Kousei father died, he sold the house for the purpose of supporting his research of making a cure for Kaori's diseases.

It was still afternoon, he placed his mini bag in the floor, and the first thing he did was go into the room where the piano was placed, as he opened the room, dust was all over the air, Kousei cough " Cough- cough- damn, I need to clean this place first. "

And then he started to clean the entire room and it took him a few hours to do so, the books and music notes are now neatly placed at their original place.

Kousei smiled while his body was full of sweats, he was satisfied at his work, he started to wipe his sweaty face with a clean piece of cloth.

He sits down at the piano chair, and he started to touch the piano gently, like he was treating it like his child.

Kousei started to play the piano, the song piece, Mozart, and the piece is original known as ("Shall I tell you, Mother? ) or Twinkle twinkle, Little Star.

As he tapped his fingers in the piano, a beautiful Melody was heard.

Meanwhile in the Sawabe Household, Tsubaki was surprised that Kousei decided to play the piano and she mumbled " So he didn't lie about joining, a competition...but I thought he hated pianoing. "

Tsubaki's mother who heard the song, that Kousei was playing she said " Mozart? so he decided to play the piano again huh...how nice. "

Tsubaki and his mother was enjoying the melody, that the piano was making, the song repeated 3 times and Kousei finally stopped playing.

Kousei " Okay, I got a hold of it, 3 times perfect pitching it, it's time to make dinner. "

Kousei left the piano room and goes into the kitchen to make himself a dinner.

Chapter 6~

Morning, Kousei woke up early, thought he is mentally old he was excited to go back to school, he already missed going back.

He took a shower, make a breakfast, eat and finally arranging the necessary things for school.

Last night he had been thinking of how would he get those resources from the future, some of them doesn't even exist in the current year, but he could recreate them his goal right now is near impossible.

First he needed a huge amount of money and connections, but he suddenly remembered that is there is a lottery happening this month, plus he remembers the winning number.

He smiled, Kousei was glad that he remembers that one at least, it would be his very first step, his father would only send him 30,000 yen a month.

And he has 26,000 yen left in his pocket, he decided to use the 25,000 in lottery since he was 100% sure that he'd win.

Okay I'm sorry for those who expect more romance or whatever to make it more exciting, but I couldn't take it anymore after watching episode 22 today, I want her to be his I thought it would be a little longer but I guess plans never happen no?
