3 Lies Within

I'm all awake now but I felt too lazy to get up so I just keep on hugging the soft thing beside me and letting my body do what it wants. I just feel so sleepy and too comfortable right now.

Soft bed, fluffy pillow and a nice scent that reminds me of someone I know. I squeezed tightly the soft thing I'm hugging until now. I suddenly came back to my senses when someone groaned beside me.

My eyes wanted to puffed out when I saw a person. He was half naked with a messy hair.

"Oh sh*t! Why am I here?" I freaked out and confusingly asked him while covering my body with the blanket because I'm all naked down there.

"Is that you're going to say first thing in the morning?" he said while yawning and being all good.

"I- I said what am I doing here? How did I get here?" I asked him repeatedly. I wanted to run fast at a speed of light but I can't since my knee still hurts. Oh, I just decided to bury myself sh*t. What's happening to me? I felt a heat flashed on my face.

"You're blushing." he suddenly spoke.

He looked at me seductively and smiled.

I stand up and ran straight to the bathroom. I slammed the door and leaved the person who made me suffer to have this weird feeling.

"What should I do now? I don't have any clothes to wear, how should I get out of here?" I murmured.

"Don't tell me you're sleeping in there right now?" he shouted at the door in the bathroom.

I opened the door and faced him bravely.

"I- I don't have any clothes to wear. Can you get me one in my office?" I pleaded him.

"Are you giving orders to your boss now?" he said sarcastically.

"I'm asking you a favor Mr. Davey."

"No need. You can wear mine." he said while handing his clothes to me.

I accepted the clothes he handed and closed the door so I can change and get ready for work.

His bathroom is so much bigger than my bedroom.

From the shower, floorings and all the stuffs here are all expensive.

This is just an office what's more in their house right? It feels like you're in a castle.

I took a bath first and dry myself up. I took the clothes he gave me. Shirt, pants and to my surprise he included an underwear. What a perv!

But it really suits me perfectly. Maybe this is his brother's clothes since it's obviously doesn't fit him.

I went out already in the bathroom when I saw him in his small kitchen.

"You didn't leave yet?" I asked him.

"Are you kicking me out in my own office?" he asked sarcastically again. Uh-huh I'm so done with this person! Okay self, you can do it. I took a deep breath and smiled.

"I just asked because we are both late now in our work." I replied.

"Then I will just say that I didn't get enough sleep because someone keeps hugging me that makes me hard to breathe." he explained while imitating what he said.

"Why didn't you wake me up on the first place so you can sleep peacefully, right?" I said while looking at what he's doing.

"How can I resist? You might complain and made you unable to concentrate to your work, it will affect the company." he explained while he keeps on stirring the pot.

"If you say so."

"Is your knee okay?" he asked.

"Yes I can move it and walk properly now."

"That's good to hear. Okay it's done. Let's eat." he said while putting the newly cooked hot pot on the table. He made a hot pot with meat and shrimp.

"Wow! Did you made this all by yourself?"

"Yes, I just didn't look like I know how to cook but I know how." he said proudly.

It looks delicious so I eat it immediately.

I took my first bite and chewed it carefully.

On my second bite..

"You walked straight into my bed." he suddenly said that made me choke what I eat. He gave me a glass of water to drink and asked if I'm okay.

I froze for a while and thinked deeply what happened last night. I remember that I only wore boxers down there.

"But when I woke up, I'm not wearing anything." I said to him while still remembering what exactly happened.

"You removed your underwear. You keep saying it's hot and crawled into my bed and snuggled me."

"..."

"You snore like a lion and you drooled too much and-."

"Okay stop! I knew it. I really bothered you last night. I'm so sorry." I sincerely apologized to him. This is so embarrassing. >_<

"But I didn't mind it all."

"I really passed out last night because I was probably too tired. I'm sorry."

"That's okay. Let's eat before it gets cold." he said while I am thinking that I just want to bury myself and be a potato. I'm so embarrassed of what I did last night.

We eat peacefully that time. I admit he's a good cook. He left first because he said he had a meeting but I stayed there for an hour. My stomach is so full that I can't move properly.

At 10 am, I decided to go to my office. I walk fast so no one can notice that I came from the VP's office but I think I'm having a bad day because I bumped to Mr. Scary Man.

"I went to your office you are nowhere to be found. It's working hours yet you're here just roaming around without wearing a proper office att-" he didn't finish what he's saying instead he looked at me from head to toe while smiling like crazy.

"I'm sorry sir. I'm going to my office now." I said while I'm still confused.

"Okay, forget what I said earlier. You may go now." he said while laying his hand forwardly, offering me to walk through the hallway.

I walked towards the office while still thinking confusingly. What just happened earlier? I don't know what to think anymore so I just decided to change the clothes I'm wearing into an office suit. It's necessary because it's working hours but I'm so late again for the 2nd day but I believe that it's not my fault this time.

It's that annoying VP's fault.

Lena's POV

I'm going to the VP's office when I heard the manager is getting mad at someone.

I peeked at the edge of the wall and saw that newly hired project designer. I really hate him since the day I saw his resume. I really think he's not suitable for the company. I wonder why he hired him.

"Okay, forget what I said earlier. You may go now." the manager said while offering his hand pointing the hallway.

Huh?

My eyebrows raised, the minute I saw the manager smiled while the annoying designer walked away.

"It seems that it happened just as I expected." that annoying old man said while smiling undyingly.

Is there anything going on here that I didn't know?

Well I'm going to introduce myself first, I'm Lena Collins. I'm Vice President Davey's secretary and soon to be Mrs. Davey once I successfully get the VP's love and attention. I'm so close on that.

I am working here for almost 8 months now as a substitute for my friend who's working here for a half decade. My friend has been assigned in Vietnam for a year so as a trusted friend of hers, she recommended me to this job and I gladly accepted it.

Everything's going well not until this person showed up, I really hate him. He can manipulate the VP easily.

Since yesterday, the first day of his work. It's the first time I saw the vice president not getting irritated by the one who came late on his work. He really did getting angry easily over the smallest thing but not this time.

The VP lend me an envelope last night and said that I should give it to that person. I opened the envelope and saw a black card and a flyer. He did it to me the first week I entered the office when I was struggling for what to eat because I don't have time to prepare a meals and usually I'm going to skip or to not eat on time.

He didn't do it to anyone aside from me but this person is an exception so for sure there is something going on here.

I didn't ask anymore I just did what he said. I went to his office and gave the envelope.

"The vice president has a meeting so he wants you to review that." I said to him.

"Okay, thank you." he said as I stared at him with a blank expression. I can't stand to see his face it's so annoying so I walked away and he closed the door.

I came back to Zed's office and he asked me if I already gave and I said yes.

"Then let's go." he said while offering his hand to me.

"Where?" I asked confusingly.

"To eat dinner." he said while he chuckled softly. I accepted his hand and we walk through the hallway.

People keep staring at us as if they're so happy to see Zed's hand holding mine. I walked confidently when Zed stopped for a minute and looked from afar. I turned my head from where he's looking at and I saw that annoying guy again. He bumped to a cute guy and they did a little chit chat.

"Uhm let's go?" I turned my head and asked him.

He just nodded and we walk towards the door. I can hear he's deep sigh but I can't ask anything so I just stayed quiet.

I don't know what's going on with that two but I must do everything I can to get rid of him.

It requires a lot of hard work to join in this company. Just a few steps and I can finally finished my mission. It should never went for nothing.

After dinner, he drived me home and dropped me infront of a big house.

"I'm sorry I can't let you come in because my older brother just came home from Taiwan he's a bit strict even though you're my boss." I said as an excuse.

"Okay not a problem. I should head back to the office. Take a rest now." he said.

I waived goodbye to him and stand still until he's out of my sight.

I hurriedly ran for about 10 minutes until I reached our house. I slammed the door while breathing heavily. I removed my stilettos and throw it under the table.

My little sister saw me and hugged me tight.

"Did she eat?" I asked her while caressing her hair.

"I'm giving mother the food but she says she can't eat it so she just went to sleep." my sister said. I looked at my mother and she's sleeping deeply that she didn't notice that I went home already.

"And what about you, have you eaten?" I asked my sister again.

She shook her head as a reply.

"Do you want to eat something? I'll go buy outside." I said while smiling at her.

"I want a fried chicken please." she said while making a cute face in front of me.

I chuckled softly. I love them so much that I will do anything for them.

"I will just change my clothes then I'll go buy okay."

"O-kay."

I went to my bedroom and released a deep sigh. I undressed myself and looked at the full body mirror.

Things should go as planned before anyone else could f*ck it up. I will do everything to make it happen.

First thing in the morning, I saw my sister beside my mother. She's just 12 years old, like other children she should enjoy the things that girls at this age do but look at her being a big sister if I'm not here.

I wore a white dress today and picked up my bag. I walked towards the bed where my mother and sister is sleeping. I kissed them both that made my mom woke up.

"Are you going somewhere?" she asked.

This time she knew me..

"Yes, so you should listen to big sis." I said after I kissed my sister on the cheeks and grabbed my mother's hand.

And later on, she's not..

I leaved a note for them on the table.

"I prepared a breakfast for you guys. I love you both :)"

I took a deep breath and went inside the company. The receptionists at the lobby bowed down and greeted me.

I went straight to his office, I unbuttoned the upper part of my dress, fixed my hair and knocked on the door.

"Come in." said by the man with a husky voice.

I entered his office with a smile and walk towards his table.

"You have a meeting with Mr. Johnson at 7pm then we can go for a dinner after the meeting. I will reserve a table for two." I said confidently.

"Cancelled it." he emphatically said without looking at me that made me furious but still I managed to concealed it.

"What made you change your plans, Mr. Davey?" I asked even I'm so pissed inside.

How dare he turned me down? F*ck.

"I have a lot of things to do outside the office right now. You can reschedule it tomorrow then we can just go have a lunch together right?" he said while smiling that made me lost my bad temper earlier.

I nodded as a reply.

"I'm going now." I said to him.

"You should take care and eat dinner on time. I'm going to finish these documents first." he said while smiling at me.

I can sense that he's going to fall for me in no time. Everything I'm doing will be paid off excessively. Nobody can stand in my way.
