5 Prejudice

I and Noah joined Ivy and Mr. Lee for the meeting- about our scripted date schedule.

"So, let's rehearse what you both have to do?" Mr. Lee said, sitting ahead of us on his office couch.

"You will pick her up tomorrow evening, seven clock," he said, shifting his gaze at me.

"I'll tell Noah," I replied, casually.

"No, you'll go yourself," he said.

"By myself," I repeated.

"Yes yourself... and I've already told the designer you both have to wear that only, there are some couple accessories there," he continued.

“It’ll be in your rooms by the time you reach there.”

"That's okay for me," Ivy replied.

“Hm, good,” I said, so he can continue further.

"As soon as you'll receive her, hug each other and make sure you won't look for any camera, photos have to look taken by non scripted paparazzi," he said, stressing on the subject.

"Then, you both will have dinner at Eiffel tower, I've booked the whole restaurant, drop her by eleven, and make sure to kiss her when you drop her back," he said.

“And you’ve to put a smile on your face,” he said, shifting to Ivy.

“Don’t worry, I can manage,” she replied.

"Em, and I think you forgot to tell me, how long I should've to kiss her, or how I should stand, should I breathe or not?” I said with a smirk.

"I think you both can manage these things itself," he said.

"Great then I'll tell Noah to pick her up," I replied, as I stood up to leave.

"Do you want to quit the project," Mr. Lee said, standing up with a sigh.

"I'm fine with this," Ivy said, leaving us.

"This is my last warning to you Adam," he said, with an elevated chin.

"What to do, I hardly care," I replied, meeting his gaze.

"I'll solve this out," Noah said meddling.

"I hope he’ll understand the seriousness of this project," he said leaving, in a furious mood.

"Let's go for now," Noah said, gazing at me.

"I just don't like these scripted things, I mean….this is just too much…," I said with a sigh.

"This is how it works, and he is also doing what investors want,” Noah continued.

“Don't be so harsh with him he is also helpless," he replied.

"I'll go don't worry," I replied with a sigh, moving out of the room.

"Tomorrow five morning is your flight, I'll pick you up," he said, after me.

"Okay," I replied, putting on my sunglasses.

As I came out of the building. The media was clicking pictures, their flash was making almost everything invisible. Asking a lot of questions together. Those were hard to listen to. Between all this chaos, my bodyguards were encircling me and leading my way to my car.

"This is the real me, this is the reality of my life," I thought, closing the door of my car after me.

And kept gazing outside until we started to move.

I shifted my gaze slowly, upward at the long endless black sky, putting my earphones in order to avoid any further conversation, as Noah started to drive

As soon as I shut my eyes and rested my head on the back of my car’s seat, her gaze came into my mind, those silent brown eyes.

"This is not right, you can’t be like this," I thought with a sigh.
