14 A Drink

“What're you doing here?” I asked approaching Joy, after a long fight of thoughts with myself, who was perfectly hiding herself in the corner of the room.

She gasped.

“Eh! It’s you,” she mumbled turning around.

She was wearing an apricot gown, which has small flower apparel on the sleeves, a very light makeup wearing eyeliner, her hair which always used to float in the air were tied in a bun, like a river which became more dangerous when flowing through a small cave.

I gazed at her as there was no tomorrow.

“Want to go out from….here?” I asked, meeting her gaze.

“Great! It’s just uncomfortable here…,” she replied.

“Yes great!,” I repeated after her.

“Sir,” a waiter approached us with drinks.

“What’s this?” I asked.

“Bowmore, Sir,” he said.

“Well, that’s good,” I said with a sigh.

I took the whole bottle, and led her way to the lift.

“Where are we going?” she asked as the lift’s door closed.

“You’ll know…,” I replied.

“Here,” I said, opening the terrace door with my fingerprint.

“Okay terrace,” she mumbled as she continued to move.

“It’s beautiful here,” she said as she shifted herself on the corner of the terrace and looked down, the whole city was sparkling like the star.

“Yes! It is,” I replied, avoiding my gaze to meet hers.

“May I ask why you’re here?” I asked.

“Uh...I was looking for someone, but he didn’t come,” she said, looking down over the city.

“Oh…..okay…,” I mumbled, and continued

“So want to drink, I asked her, shifting the bottle to her, after opening it.

“Ofcourse,” she replied, taking the bottle as she drank almost half of it, in one shot.

“You’re so good at this,” I said with wide eyes.

“I’m so good…. and I hardly get drunk,” she said with a chuckle.

“It’s your turn,” she said, gazing at me.

“I can’t,” I said.

“Why?” I asked.

“Because I got drunk easily, and I won’t be able to control myself if I get drunk….,” I replied, meeting her gaze directly.

We continued to stare, my ears started to get hot, I swallowed hard to avoid her gaze.

“Then you should drink,” she mumbled slowly.

“Eh?”” I asked with widened eyes.

"Yes, you should go crazy sometimes, it's beautiful to have normal life sometimes," she said with a sigh.

"Then, I'm trusting you….. that you’ll manage us being together…..," I replied, as I started to drink.

"Why would….Iiii….," she asked laughing crazily.

"Because you don't get drunk," I mumbled with a smile.

“Want to sit,” I said, shifting my gaze at the stone table.

“Yes I shou…ld,” she stammered a little shifting herself on the stone table, and followed her with a smile.
