36 A Favour

Zhuang Yang was wondering about why Zhu Xiao Wan couldn't see, then his gaze fell to her legs. It seemed like she couldn't walk as well. Why? It didn't appear like there were any fractures or injuries. He turned to his older brother, but Zhuang Yin was just standing unostentatiously behind their father. He had actually been quiet, how unusual.

"It's almost luncheon, please join us," Zhuang Che proposed.

Song Hui Yao nodded in approval while smiling and followed him to the dining room. Zhu Xiao Wan who had stayed silent from the beginning until now opened her mouth to say: "I am here to ask you for a favour."

Zhuang Che stilled for a bit and instructed the servants to serve lunch before inquiring, "What favour, Young Miss Zhu?"

"You should know the Lu Family, right?"

"Green Wind Kingdom's backer?"

"Yes."

"I do know them," his voice sounded a wee cold when he acknowledged his conversance of the Lu Family.

"Well." Zhu Xiao Wan then sniffed lightly, there were aromatic foods filling the room. She assumed that any ordinary people would salivate even if they were to solely inhale fragrant of these foods.

The meals were placed on the table. Song Hui Yao bowed his head to looked at Zhu Xiao Wan, "What do you want?"

"Anything." She couldn't savour anything anyway.

Then he picked up a piece of má shi from the chǎo má shi[1] plate with his chopsticks and started to feed her; dish to dish, procrastinating her from speaking. Again with their ambiguous actions, the Zhuangs, and that included Zhuang Yin, were having a tough time beholding the sight.

"...I'm full."

"Full, but you'd only eat a little." Song Hui Yao said as he put the chopsticks down.

Zhuang Che was smiling but there were sweat drops rolling down from his forehead. 'Just eat your foods and overlook them!' he told himself. Next to him was Zhuang Yin and Zhuang Yang, and they were feeling awkward...

Zhu Xiao Wan neglected Song Hui Yao's gibberish nagging and said, "As a cautious sect master, I'm sure Sect Master Zhuang is aware of the situation in your kingdom."

His eyelashes flickered as his eyes shone with surprise. "Of course. I just didn't think that Young Miss Zhu would be willing to bother with my insignificant kingdom's problem."

"I had been with the Ning Family for about a year with my brother...They took us in," she said.

So that was why. Zhuang Che inhaled, the one that the Lu Family had eliminated from Qianyu Kingdom was the Ning Family, their sanctuary. Could it also be the reason for her to be in this state where she couldn't see? He looked at Zhu Xiao Wan and said with a serious tone, "I will take care of them."

"No need." She faced where she heard Zhuang Che's voice was. "I will deal with them myself, the only thing I need for you is to confirm that Princess You Yan's master is the head of the Lu Family."

"Lu Shan is the Lu Family's head? The Lu surname..." His voice sounded shocked in the start and it trailed off. How did he not get suspicious of that?

"You seemed to be unaware of this."

"Young Miss Zhu, I never thought that Tang Rue's master would be him. I had been too laid back these years. I'll help you the best I can."

A corner of Zhuang Yin's mouth twitched. She could just ask him, after all, he did owe her brother a favour. He was lamenting in his heart, but he knew. His father would be more convincing than him, a youngster that plays around.

Zhuang Yang, on the other hand, was disappointed. If it was his father that deal with those people, he could beat them for causing trouble; now that she was going to do it and not his father, how was he supposed to teach them a lesson?

"In around four months, I will need you to make an appearance."

"Four months? I have a request." He said, "I would like for Yang Yang to follow you in these four months."

Zhu Xiao Wan was silent for a while before nodding her head.
