chp 8: Evelyns sickness

Suddenly, someone bumped into her, and since she was in a daze, she was about to fall down the stage.

'Oh my god, i m going to fall.its gonna hurt'

But her arm was grabbed by a powerful big hand, and he pulled her back with a great force, due to which she bumped right into his chest.

Her face turned red, but thankfully, she was wearing a mask. She hurriedly took a step back from his arms and stood still.

She didn't dare to look at him again.

James ears had also turned red.

Leo, who has also gotten on stage, saw this whole scene.He leaned towards james and whispered, "Why does she wear a mask in public? "

"To avoid unnecessary attention and paparazzi," james answered.

"Hmmm, with that face, it's understandable. It must be tough for her. " james didn't answer anymore and focused on the ceremony.

On the other side of the city,Inside howell Corporation Mr. howell was fuming with anger.

"Sir, the hunt and smith corporation have taken out all their investments and put a stop to all the projects with us. Also, smith Corporation is attacking us from all sides. They are even trying to buy the shares of howell corporation"

"How could this be?" Master howell slumped dejectedly on his chair

'This is all that bastards fault. No, actually, this is all of dianas fault she is the reason all of this started. Now, how am i supposed to clean this mess?'

"Is there no other way except to accept the proposal?"

He was really reluctant to hand over his corporation to bella. He knew once he handed it over to her, she wouldn't listen to him at all.

Suddenly his assistant came running

"Sir, bad news, our shares prices r dropping rapidly nd all the shareholders are saying that they will sell their shares"

At howell's residence, diana was doing her nails and thinking about possible ways to win james' heart over again. When the door to her room was slammed open and Mr. howell barged in.

"Slap," he threw a slap on dianas face. there were huge fingerprints on dianas face now.

"Dad, what are you doing?"

"What am i doing? What have you done?Do u know how much trouble i am in only because of you?"

"Dad, i made a mistake. I was drunk. Please, dad, help me. I can't lose james."

"You are asking me for help? Who should i ask?Enough, where is bella? She is the only one who can save us now. "

"I know what you are thinking.There is no way over my dead body. That bastard can't marry james. No way. "

"You should have thought about the consequences before giving in to ur animal instincts," Mr. howell said angrily.

"Are you going to give her howell corp too?"

"What choice do i have?" He left dianas room and asked the maid

"Where is bella?"

"Matser, she left the house in the morning."

" Do u mean she didn't come back home after the wedding?"

"No master young miss left with her luggage"

Master howell hurridely called bella. The call was picked up.

"Where are you?"

"On my way to the airport."

"Who allowed you to leave?get back here right now, and if u don't, then don't ever bother coming back,"

"Ok, do whatever you want." Bella hung up.

Master howell threw the vase from the sidetable to the ground in anger.

Bella, who had just hung up on Mr. howells call, received another call.

"Hi mel, i am."

"Bell, u have to come with me evelyn she is in the hospital i really need your help."

After asking about hospital details from mel, bella asked the driver to take her to the hospital.

At the hospital, bella and melissa were waiting outside the icu.

"Whts wrong with Eve?"

"She has a kidney disease due to a birth defect." bella was shocked

"So now her kidney is failing really bad she needs a kidney transplant really soon, i got dad and diana tested, bt they dont match, and neither do i. u r the only 1 left in the family. "

"Sure, lemee get tested." With a nod, bella went to get herself tested.

While they were waiting for test results, bella thought of something and said

"Just in case if i m not a match, why don't you try contacting her father's side of family?"

"I"ll think about it after your test results."

Soon, the results came, but to their disappointment, bella was not a match.

Melissa broke down now. bella tried to comfort her, but melissa felt really hopeless now.

"Mel, let's not waste time and call her father's family if you can't do it. Then tell me who he is, and i will do it."

hearing that melissa face lost all the colour. "It's alright, i will do it myself. You should go home and rest now. i will stay with evelyn."

bella wanted to stay with evelyn, but she knew melissa wanted sometime alone, so she left.
