20 Becoming A Talent

After Lin Xiaoxiao and Shen Xing left the coffee shop they headed over to Empire Entertainment. The black Maybach pulled up to the front entrance where they were met by Lou Hao's Smiling face. "Good! Good! You're here!"

"Director Lou, how long have you been out here waiting for us?" Lin Xiaoxiao was a little curious as to why he was here at such a time when they were an hour early for the scheduled appointment. She could see a few cups of coffee sitting off to the side by the table he was sitting at.

"Just since seven A.M., I didn't want to miss you in case you showed up early. It's a good thing I waited!" Lou Hao stroked his beard as he formed a big smile on his face. Lin Xioaxiao, on the other hand, choked on air as she heard what he said. 'Was this man okay in the head?' This was Lin Xiaoxiao's only thought about Director Lou at this time.

"I see sorry to keep you waiting..." Lin Xiaoxiao didn't really know what else to say. On the other hand, she had to pinch Shen Xing because he was about to burst out laughing.

"Director Lou it's good to see you again." Lou Hao's face froze when he heard the man's voice. When he looked over and saw Shen Xing standing there he realized he actually ignored the President of the company!

Director Lou's knees started shaking as he respectfully bowed saying: "P-President I'm sorry for not greeting you right away. I-I was just so excited to see Miss Lily arrive."

"It's fine Director Lou. I actually prefer you to give my fiancee the attention she deserves. When she's around I should always come second." Lou Hao was left dumbfounded by Shen Xing's words. He wasn't really sure if he heard Shen Xing right! He was about to say something when he was cut off by Lin Xiaoxiao.

"Xing, we can't have you second in your own workplace. Especially when you are the Ceo and President. People will think that I have more say in the company than you!" Lin Xiaoxiao playfully punched Shen XIng's arm.

"Xiaoxiao it is true, as of now you have more say than me. You are my fiancee after all. So whatever you say is right." Shen Xing said in a very dotting manner which made Lin Xiaoxiao giggle.

"We are not even married yet. In two years when we are married then I will have more say than you. But, until then you keep the final say for now." Lin Xiaoxiao blushed when she talked about being married to this man next to her. She locked her arm with his and walked past the still dumbfounded Director Lou who stood stiff to the side like a statue.

"Director Lou if you don't hurry we will leave you behind." Lin Xiaoxiao's beautiful voice entered Director Lou's ears which caused him to snap out of his dazed state.

After seeing such interaction between the president and Lin Xiaoxiao, Lou Hao finally realized that the phone call this morning was not a dream. The whole reason he had been waiting outside since seven A.M. this morning was because he was not sure if he actually dreamed of talking to the President and Lin Xiaoxiao! But now he was sure it was not a dream at all. It was one hundred percent real! "AH! Yes, coming!" Seeing the two getting farther away he hurriedly chased after them.

In meeting room on the second floor of Empire Entertainment, Lin Xiaoxiao was currently sitting across from Lou Hao while next to her Shen Xing was reading a document that was just passed to him from Lou Hao.

A few minutes later a smile appeared on Shen Xing's face. The contract in his hand gave Lin Xiaoxiao absolute freedom to decide what jobs she wanted to take or not take. Nothing could be forced upon her by the company. Even her pay scale was slightly higher than a talent that had just started out. There were a lot of other benefits that she gained as well that a normal talent would need years before they were eligible. Shen Xing could only nod his head in approval. Lou Hao really knew how to take care of his baby girl.

"Xing, how is it?" Lin Xiaoxiao who was sitting at his side did not even get a chance to look at the contract yet. When they first sat down and it was passed to them Shen Xing quickly picked it before Lin Xiaoxiao's outstretched hand could even touch it.

"Mmm, it's okay… But Director Lou these parts here need to be a bit more. Add one more zero to each section." Shen Xing pointed to the spots that indicate how much she would make for each appearance based on role. In other words, this was how much she would make per job. Lin Xiaoxiao went from making a few million RMB that was first posted in the contract to make a ten to twenty million. This was how much an A list actor made! Of course, this only applied to works that were funded by Empire Group and to Shen Xing this was just pocket change. He felt it was more like handing his baby girl some money to go on a shopping spree with. For other works that were not funded by Empire Group, she would still receive a few million RMB at the minimum.

Lou Hao eyes widen and couldn't believe how dotting Shen Xing was towards Lin Xiaoxiao. He was handing out so much money on a new talent. But he did not say anything. Lou Hao knew that with Lin Xiaoxiao's acting ability she was even better than all those A list actors out there. All except that one actor who had died a few years back…

"President is right I will make the changes quickly. Give me ten minutes. " Lou Hao took the contract back from Shen Xing before standing up and hurriedly rushing out of the room to go make the changes.

"Xing, was the contract good?" Lin Xiaoxiao who had been sitting quietly asked.

"Un, the contract was fine. It was the money that was a bit too low. He only wanted you to make a few million for a lead role so I had him change it to a few ten millions." Lin Xiaoxiao did not know whether to laugh or cray! A few million was way more than what a normal talent would get when they were first starting out! She couldn't help but sneak a little peek at the man next to her as she smiled and thought. 'This man was really good to her!'

Not long after Lou Hao came back and Lin Xiaoxiao signed the contract and was told she would be notified in the next few days when the shooting for 'The Princess's Knight' would start. After saying their goodbyes Lin Xiaoxiao and Shen Xing headed home. On this day Lin Xiaoxiao had officially become a talent of Empire Entertainment. This was the day Lin Xiaoxiao's journey to reclaim her position as a top actress finally began.

Xi family home…

"Dad that slut is still alive!" Xi Yanfen walked ragingly into a room with bookshelves covering the walls that were filled with books. There was a large desk sitting on one side of the room in front of a window. Behind that desk sat a man in a leather office chair that had his head down as he was reading the document in his hand. His hand was trembling as he read through the words on the document. This man was Lin Xiaoxiao's bodies biological father Xi Shen.

After hearing the familiar voice entering his ears he looked up to see how his daughter was dressed and his anger rose to the sky! 'She was dressed as a damn prostitute!' Xi Shen put the document down and rose from his seat as he angrily glared at Xi Yanfen as he yelled: "Yanfen! Kneel!"
