1 Chapter 1: Pretending

"I just want to leave. I don't want to live in this world anymore. I don't want to die but I'm not afraid of death. Please hear my wishes and pull me out from this shitty life."

I shouldn't wish that. I should've kept my mouth shut and lived my life. I want to go back home, I want to see mom.

Oh, if only it was that easy.

"Qi Jian, let's go! We're late already" yelled a boy with bright blue hair wearing a school uniform.

Qi Jian, the person who was called, snapped out of her thoughts and slowly walked to her friend's side.

"Dude, are you okay?" asked the boy.

Without looking at her friend's face, she nodded slowly. But in reality, she actually has no idea who this boy is that called her 'friend'.

Qi Jian was transmigrated. Returning to two days ago, when she opened her eyes, she suddenly appeared in the novel named 'Rude husband, I still love you'. A novel in which she dropped due to its ridiculous plot.

She wasn't transmigrated as a cannon fodder, main character nor a villain. Qi Jian was simply just a supporting character that only appeared once in the novel.

Qi Jian was transmigrated as someone who will fall for the male lead but never approach him. She was really just a minor character.

Becoming a minor character in a rebirth novel isn't the problem. The problem is, she was currently disguised herself as a guy. The reason was to protect her from being engaged to a corrupted family due to the old man's ridiculous agreement.

Qi Jian has no idea what happened. Has the real Qi Jian managed to save herself from the marriage? Or did her secrets get revealed? Since she was just an insignificant character, there's nothing Qi Jian can know about it.

But right now, the character Qi Jian was just a high school student that will soon take the university entrance examinations.

"Let's hang out tonight" says the bright blue-haired boy, who keeps bothering her.

She was already annoyed with the fact that she had to go through school life once again after just graduating from it in her real life.

One thing she likes in this world is money. Qi Jian family was one of the prestigious families in W city and as a second young master of the Qi family, she received a lot of pocket money from her parents.

This is something that her previous life cannot afford. Money.

"Where do you plan to go?" she asked, after a long pause.

The bright blue-haired name Zhou Yan, smiled widely after he heard the question.

"Finally, it's been awhile since we hung out together! We are going to the club in Liang district" he exclaimed, face filled with excitement.

Qi Jian nodded at her only friend and continued walking to her class. She felt grateful for the fact that the original Qi Jian only has one friend.

It makes her work a lot easier and she doesn't have to act as the original Qi Jian much since the character barely has friends except for the idiot beside her.

For some reason, Zhou Yan, Qi Jian's one and only friend, always sticks with her. The reason was unknown. Even when she received all the original's memories, she still had no idea why that kid was so hell bent to be her friend.

But Qi Jian likes the guy, therefore she was fine keeping him by her side even though there's a risk that Zhou Yan might notice the difference between her and the original Qi Jian.

"I said yes, didn't I? So go away" she pushed the poor boy away, he was too clingy to her liking.

Zhou Yan, not really feeling offended, laughed and left Qi Jian alone and continued to disturb other students' lives.

Their English teacher soon came in, and class started as usual.

Qi Jian, who actually already graduated, put her head on the table and took a nap. Not like the teacher will ever dare to reprimand her. Even the teacher gave up with the original character's bad grade.

RING

The school's bell rings, indicating that school has ended. They have a self-study session but there is no way Qi Jian will participate in it.

"I'm leaving" she said to Zhou Yan who was preparing to go play basketball at the court.

Zhou Yan slightly pouted while his hands were trying to link with Qi Jian. 'I just knew this guy was a clingy bastard.' she thought, stepping away from him.

"How about we go play basketball together?" asked Zhou Yan to her.

Well, she is currently a boy therefore it's normal for her to get invited to play those kinds of games. More importantly, the original Qi Jian also acted like she was really a guy so everyone knows her as the popular kid who plays basketball once in a while.

The fact that the original Qi Jian fits in with the boys' activities was something that earned a respect from Qi Jian.

She acted well as a boy and knows when to back out before her identity got exposed. She plays well, but never participates in any activities. Despite being personally asked by the basketball's coach, she still rejects the offer knowing what's coming to her if she accepts the offer.

Qi Jian, who was asked by Zhou Yan, shook her head slowly and left the classroom. She has no desire to pretend to be Qi Jian.

She walked to their school gates and was greeted by her driver.

"Second young master, I thought you would stay back and play basketball today?" asked the driver, uncle Yin.

Without replying to the old man's words, Qi Jian got into the car.

"I don't feel like playing today uncle. Let's just head home" she said while making herself comfortable.

Uncle Yin showed a worried expression with the second young master's behavior but did not say anything. The Qi Jian he knows never wanted to stay at home. She either stays at school until 10pm or hangs out at the cyber cafe.

But despite his worries for her, he dares not ask anything from the second young master. Unlike the first young master, Qi Han, who was cold and strict. Qi Jian was the opposite, she was more warm and relaxed.

Until two days ago.

Their second young master suddenly has a change of attitude. She becomes colder than Qi Han and barely talks throughout the whole two days.

Not wanting to anger the person at the back seat, uncle Yin quickly drove away from the school and headed home.

'First young master, please don't be at home. Or else, I don't know what kind of disaster will happen.' the driver silently prayed in his heart.

Everyone who works for the Qi family knows that both siblings don't get along and every time they get together, only an unstoppable fight will occur.
