Wrath

𝘽𝙖𝙢!

"Ah!"

I yelped in surprise when the stone exploded, creating an immense impact that caused the floor and walls to shake. Before I could fall and hit the floor, I feel someone is grabbing me and helped me flew out of the temple that is starting to crumble down.

I looked up and saw Callisto carry me with a serious look on his face.

"?!"

I saw pieces of the concrete wall flung toward us. Callisto dodged it easily. The dust started to grow bigger and denser, causing us to have trouble seeing. Callisto flew a little bit more to the back away from the temple and put me down safely to the ground. Some of my low-leveled and mid-leveled demons started to walk toward me.

They looked shocked too. But their instincts are kicking in and making a defensive formation around me.

I glared at the temple.

"... Damn, I don't know that it's going to be like this," I said.

"Neither do I,"

I saw Io said that as he floated toward my way. And there's Lavender flew toward us, carrying Lilith on her arms. The three of them landed safely beside me.

"M-Master, are you alright?!" Lilith asked worriedly.

"I'm fine, Lilith," I replied. Lilith sighed in relief, she looked over at the crumbling temple with a worried look.

"My my~ I never sense this kind of energy before~," Lavender said as she put her hands to her cheeks, frowning. "This might be quite troublesome~"

"Where did you get the container?" Io asked me.

His usual sly tone changed to complete seriousness.

"In a mage shop, in the city. There's a mage that sells one container,"

Io looked surprised. He let out an exaggerated sigh and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Little master... even a prancing monkey can tell that it's suspicious. It's impossible for ordinary mages to sell containers. Plus the shop is in a city," He massaged his nose bridge. "Does the lady have a mole under her eye?"

"H-How do you know?!"

"... That's Oralia. She's a demon hunter who traveled across lands to collect high-leveled demons, I bought Callisto from her,"

"!"

"Ahh, that lady," Callisto mumbled. "She's so powerful, she managed to seal me for a long time,"

"This is bad," Io said.

"Why?"

"Oralia, she has the most high-leveled demons. Most of her containers are descendants of the seven deadly sins. That lady lived for centuries, meaning that there's a possibility that she found an ancient container,"

Ancient containers. I remember hearing that before. Ancient containers are containers that are sealed by legendary mages from thousands of years ago. And mages can found these containers within dangerous areas where ordinary people can't enter.

"Don't tell me," I slowly widen my eyes. "That's, the early descendants of seven deadly sins?"

Io nodded.

Io, Callisto, and Lavender are considered as the newest descendants of the seven deadly sins. Which means that there are the oldest ones.

"Who... dares...,"

The ground started to reverberate. A deep booming voice caused me to wince.

Our attention is locked to the temple that had turned into ruins. In the middle of those crumbled walls, I saw a boy that's taller than Io and Callisto, standing there. Covered in black, mixed with maroon vapor. Red electricities appeared around him.

His black eyes slowly glanced sideways, meeting my own.

I gulped.

I just unsealed the highest ranked demon amongst all descendants.
