Meeting

"This definitely came as a shock to us," Flash sighed. The Justice League were in the Watch Tower, Batman having called a secret meeting. The reason being that the side kicks were been unruly as he called it.

"I think it's taking the initiative on their part," Sentry said. Everyone looked at her in surprise. Sentry was a new member of the Justice League, highly recommended by Superman, Wonderwoman and Captain Atom. Her physical prowess was already a legend among the heroes, lifting an entire planet and throwing it to the sun when it was about to hit Earth! That alone was enough for Batman to agree on their request. She was however a rarely out speaking person and they had gotten used to that.

"You think they are making the correct choice?" Batman gruffly asked.

"This is the right choice for them. I for one am not ready to have a teenager in my team. I don't want to keep worrying about him everytime something big happens or each time we get separated from each other while doing a joint mission. We can all agree the villians we fight are not right in the head and they are not ready for that kind of fight," Sentry stated. Few Leaguers nodded their heads in agreement.

"I know Speedy, he is capable of handling himself," Green Arrow said in a defensive tone.

"Speedy is not part of the little team," Sentry shut him down. "But, even if he is, are you sure he is capable enough to handle someone like Deathstroke, Lady Shiva, Dragon or even Harley Quinn on his own?" Green Arrow looked back at her defiantly but did not say anything.

"So you think they should form this little group of theirs to handle that kind of stuff?" Superman asked her.

"Everyone here will agree when I say they are the future of the Justice League. Captain Atom, Wonderwoman, Martian Manhunter and I are untouched by old age, we might live for a very long time thus we can continue doing this. But, the rest of you cannot live past one hundred, for Aquaman and Superman probably more. Your peak will start decreasing and a slight mistake might kill you.

"With these young heroes, we will be cultivating future members of the League. We shall be their mentors, slowly easing them into a team, being patient with them and not shunning our responsibilities." The last words were said while she looked at Superman.

"He is not my responsibility!" the man of steel argued. He was being stubborn about this.

"That is what you say yet the clone will continue to exist with your blood, even if it's half his DNA," Sentry countered. "I say that makes you quite responsible for him. Good thing is he did not end up completely brainwashed into killing you and be was the reason those three got outside Cadmus alive." Superman glared at her and was about to retort when Batman cut in.

"You two can argue later about this. What we need to discuss at the moment is whether we should agree with Sentry on her decision," Batman said.

"It is a good plan. We keep the young ones close by to prevent them from going rogue and train them while giving them missions for field practices. The more and better they finish the missions the higher the risks missions we give them. This will make them especially capable to work in a team and be ready for vilians like Ares," Wonderwoman started. The others could agree the plan was sound, a little militaristic, but still good. The side kicks were teenagers, it was off putting but if they are already fighting crime at their age, they were ready.

"Well, now that everyone is on board, let us discuss where their base of operations would be," Batman said.

"I was thinking about that and I think My Justice is a good enough space," Captain Atom spoke up first.

"Isn't that place like compromised?" Captain Marvel asked, showing his reluctance.

"I agree with Captain Marvel. Having the children take residence in a compromised location is compromising their trust and safety," Hawkgirl spoke up.

"No, I actually agree with Captain Atom. Having them take the mountain is a good choice. The bad guys know of the place and they know we know of it so they will never think that we would decide to put it back into operation. Hiding in plain sight!" Green Lantern, John Stewart, spoke up. His fellow Green Lantern nodded in agreement.

"It is a secure place, if we add even more security procedures then it will be perfectly safe place for them to make it their base," Sentry backed up and the Green Lanterns a d Captain Atom. "If it gets compromised again, I can just make another base in another mountain."

"You can do that?" Flash asked in intrigue.

"Sure, punch through it, make giant cave, support beams to hold the entire mountain and then Batman can use his pouch of unlimited money to make the cave into a technological wonder like always," Sentry answered with a smile. Batman gruffed at her words.

"It's not unlimited," he argued silently. He forgot many people here had super hearing enough to hear him. Superman looked at his friend in surprise. It was rare to see Batman flustered, as rare as it was to see him smile in his Batman identity.

"Mt Justice will do," Wonderwoman spoke up. There was little reluctance from the ones refusing. "Unless you want to use your money to make them a new cave." This quickly made them jump ship.

"Alright, let us sort out mentors for them. We need someone to look after them in the cave," Batman said.

"A trainor too. The four are out of sync, Robin the most of them all. No offense to you Batman, but you trained him to be in a team with you, he will not handle being a team with others well," Sentry added. Everyone in there almost nodded in agreement before they remembered who it was they were talking back to.

"Yes, a trainer is needed too," Batman agreed, most could hear the reluctance in his mind when he said that.

"Kid Flash needs that too. I know he is a blockhead so whoever trains him has my permission to knock that out of his body," Flash spoke up, causing a few to chuckle.

"So, who would want to fill in those spots?" Batman asked. Sentry rose her left hand almost immediately.

"I'ld like to be their supervisor," she said. Everyone have her questioning looks. "Mostly because I think Superman is being a numbskull and not taking this moment to help his half Kryptonian self. Many of my powers resemble a Kryptonian's so I will be helping the boy come to terms and better knowing of his powers. Besides, this will be a chance to reconnect myself with my human self, a much needed action," she explained. She saw Red Tornado was hesitating on lifting his hand. "I'ld also like the position to be interchangeable between me and Red Tornado."

"Do you have a problem with that?" Batman asked the robot who shook his head.

"Alright, the position of Supervisor will be held by Sentry and Red Tornado," Batman declared. That done, Black Canary rose her hand.

"I'ld like to take the position of trainor," she spoke up. Black Canary was one of the best fighters in the League, Batman can attest to that. He was already approving that in his mind.

"I would have loved to take the position but I will be busy coming days so I agree to let Black Canary be the trainor," Wonder Woman said, nodding at her.

"Alright, it's decided then..."

"I would request that my niece M'gann M'orrz join this group," Martian Manhunter spoke up, interrupting Batman.

"Is she ready for real life interactions?" Batman asked him with a frown.

"M'gann is psychologically ready. She is a little naïve but she an handle herself," he answered. The silence after that was deafening. Martian Manhunter looked uncomfortable by this but Sentry spoke up.

"I think it is a wonderful choice. If she should make connections, then it is a good idea to make it with fellow heroes her age, provided she is of such mind,"

"She's one of the few surprisingly innocent Martian children on Mars, she has a hero's heart, I can swear of the red desert soil!" Martian Manhunter defended his niece.

"If you three agree to it, then I have no problem," Batman said. The three nodded immediately. "Alright then, bring them all to Mt Justice in an two days and we'll break the news to them.

...

"Four days ago, you four made a decision to strike out on your own and keep fighting the good fight," Batman spoke up to three teenage boys standing in a single file in front of him. "The League agreed for you to do this, but on our terms."

"This cave was the origin secret sanctuary of the Justice League, we are calling it back to service again. This will be where some of you will be residing and all will be gathering for missions I will be handing to you."

"Real missions?" Robin asked his mentor.

"Covert missions but otherwise, yes, real missions," Batman answered before turning and pointing at Red Tornado and Sentry. "Red Tornado and Sentry have volunteered to be your supervisor, each for the gender they represent but they are not limited to that, anyone of you are welcome to ask them for anything. Black Canary volunteered to help you with training."

"Wait, will we be receiving a female teammate?" Kid Flash asked excitedly.

"One for the moment but yes," Batman said and looked pointedly behind them, making the four turn to see Martian Manhunter walking towards them accompanied by a shorter female Martian who looked at them shyly.

"That's M'gann M'orrz, Martian Manhunter's niece and now a member of your team," Batman introduced her.

"I'm liking this gig everyday," Kid Flash whispered to Robin before he dashed next to the female Martian. "Hi, I'm Kid Flash. That's Robin, Aqualad and Suoerboy but you can forget about them." Superboy was not paying attention to them but towards Sentry. He had read an article that stated that she might be a Kryptonian due to how similar hers and a Kryptonian's were. He walked towards her as her blue eyes followed him.

"Are you a Kryptonian?" he asked brashly.

"No," she answered simply. "Why, do you want me to be?"

"I read that your powers resemble Superman's. Can you beat him?" he asked.

"Why? So that you can try and beat me to gain his attention? That is very macho of you, quite stupid but macho. But, if you want to prove to yourself that you can gain his recognition by defeating me, I can indulge your foolishness and agree to meeting you on the training ground. The first one to fall gets to do a thousand suicides holding five hundred tonnes."

"You're on!" Superboy said with a cocky smile, shaking her hand immediately.
