There are many stories in Greek Mythology that include human suspicion, hatred and jealousy. Have you heard of the wings of Icarus? Here's a simple summary of it.

Once upon a time, in Greece, there was a great inventor named Daedalus. Daedalus was ordered by King Minos to build a labyrinth where the monster Minotaur was locked up.

However, later, he was abandoned by King Minos and ended up being locked up in a tower along with his son Icarus. To escape from the tower where they were imprisoned, Daedalus managed to gather all the bird feathers he could find, so that he could make bigger wings. The large feathers were tied with thread, while the small ones with wax.

Soon, the wings were finished and at the request of the boy who asked when they could fly freely, Daedalus, being a father, warned him: "If you fly too high, the wings reinforced with wax will be burnt by the sun and they will melt. Be careful!".

Icarus who received such valuable advice, stayed away from the tower with his father. Then came Freedom. But freedom, in some occasions is a dangerous thing as it makes one forget himself.

With freedom unfolding before his eyes, Icarus became intoxicated by it. Perhaps it was inevitable. It felt like a solution to a painful, controlled situation.

Completely mesmerized by freedom, he forgot his father's advice and flew higher and higher. The wings made as one of the fake angels were burnt by the sunlight and the wax melted in the blink of an eye.

Finally, the false wing burnt out completely. Icarus fell into the sea and died.

Was Icarus just a brave man who jumped into the sky to gain freedom? Or was he an arrogant man who believed he could reach the sun and overestimated his own strength and abilities? Perhaps, except for his own father, no one knows.

Now, I don't know why I was reminded of Icarus' wings when I found myself in front of a certain boy.

Comparing this to various situations, I feel that he is nothing more than the closest thing to that figure. Although, right now I'm well aware that the two are very different. Because this boy doesn't have the courage or the arrogance of Icarus.

I am under pressure. I have no choice but to do this.

There is no other way to deal with it, but to incur that child's displeasure.

I could do nothing but be firm and boldly head towards the angry boy in the calm before me.

I couldn't return the dice roll to its original position.

Because the bet had already started.
