Somewhere inside the academy…

"Have the preparations been made?" Miranda asked. She was talking to someone through her mobile phone and her tone carried impatience. "I don't want any mishaps to happen."

"Relax. Everything has been taken care of," the deep voice of a man replied through the receiver. "Have you already chosen a candidate? I thought it would take you at least two more months."

"I have already chosen a candidate," Miranda stated. "Have your men infiltrate the academy. We will start the mission as soon as possible."

"Understood."

Miranda ended the call and looked outside the window. She could see students walking around the academy grounds. Her lips curled up into a smile as she looked at the folder in her hand.

"Project Eve failed and Project Adam is on its last legs," Miranda muttered. "I must succeed. I must… succeed!"
