62 Undercover Mission

Two days passed by in a blur. Kate and Andrea were currently sitting in one of the private rooms of a family owned restaurant in K-City. It was the room that the Dean had reserved for their meeting. Since Andrea didn't want to be late for their appointment, they arrived thirty minutes early.

Kate looked calm on the surface, but deep inside she was very anxious. If not for her Mama Andrea sitting beside her, she would be panicking right now. Initially she wanted Ciel to join this meeting, but the young boy declined her offer. His reason for doing so was because he believed that her mother's presence was enough of a deterrent.

Unbeknownst to Kate, Ciel was also inside the restaurant. He was sitting in the room next to theirs and he was currently accompanied by Chloe and Heinz. They left fifteen minutes after his mother left and snuck inside the restaurant.

Chloe was amused by their "undercover mission" and was very happy that her Big Brother took her with him. Heinz had a look of disapproval on his face. However, he couldn't leave his young master's side so he went along with his plan and became an accomplice.

"Heinz, did you bring the things I asked you to prepare?" CIel asked with a smile. He felt sorry that he had to drag Heinz along with him, but he was curious about the results of Kate's meeting with the Dean.

"Yes, Young Master," Heinz answered. "Should I attach it now?"

"Mmm."

"Understood."

Heinz opened the small bag he was carrying. Inside was a small box with a miniature microphone attached in it. He carefully placed it on the wall and the small box stuck to it like glue. The butler then pressed on a button which powered the device. After Heinz tweaked with the settings, Andrea's soothing voice was heard from the other side of the wall.

"Kate, don't worry," Andrea reassured her. "I won't let them bully you."

There was a short pause and the device picked up Kate's soft reply. "Thank you, Mama Andrea."

Chloe's eyes sparkled as she heard the voices from the other room. She looked at her Big Brother, and the latter pressed a finger over his lips. Clearly, he was telling Chloe not to say anything.

The little girl nodded her head and decided to listen attentively to the conversation that was about to take place. It was the first time she had done something like this. It felt new and exciting for her.

Although Chloe was not the type of girl who liked to gossip, that didn't mean that she was not interested in hearing these kinds of things. Since her Big Brother gave her such an opportunity, she would make sure to keep her lips shut. After all, opportunities like this were very rare.

Five minutes later, they heard the voice of a man come from the other side of the room. A smile appeared on Ciel's lips and Heinz narrowed his gaze. The two of them were very familiar with the School Dean and knew what kind of individual he was.

The real reason why Ciel didn't come with Kate was because the School Dean knew that he was Charle's disciple. If he was around, The Dean would have his guard up and limit the things that he would say.

If one were to ask if the School Dean of the most prestigious academy in the country was a simple person, the answer was definitely NO. How could someone without a powerful background sit as the head of Saint Claire Academy? If an ordinary person were to do that, he would merely be a puppet for the board of directors.

Noah Malfoy was no herbivore. Ciel wanted to know how the School Dean would handle Kate's case. Would he be partial or impartial? Would there be secret negotiations behind the scenes? If he were to demand something ridiculous from Kate, Ciel wouldn't mind using the recording as blackmail!

He would make sure that Kate entered the Academy, by hook or by crook. Chloe noticed the evil smirk that was plastered on her Big Brother's face, but she didn't care. The only thing on her mind was "Big Brother looks so evil right now. However, he still looks cool even when he's evil!"

Heinz watched the two kids with concern. He was secretly admonishing himself for exposing Ciel to the affairs of their mercenary group.

'It couldn't be helped,' Heinz sighed for the second time of the day. 'It was master's orders.'

Yes, the one who introduced Ciel to the underworld was none other than his grandfather, Arthur. The old man intended to make Ciel the next Big Boss of Lazarus, so he decided to let him know the existence of the group.

Ciel was a smart boy and understood what his grandfather wanted him to do. Arthur only gave him one condition. Never, ever, use Lazarus to harm the innocent.

"Heinz, be at ease," Ciel said in a commanding tone. "We're not doing anything wrong. This is just insurance."

Heinz didn't say a word but nodded his head. 'My young master has already learned how to use blackmail at such a young age. Hah~ I pray that he won't be led astray when he grows up."

"Sorry for being late," Noah greeted the two ladies when he entered the room. His friend already notified him that his guests had arrived the moment he stepped inside the restaurant. He almost choked when his eyes landed on the smiling Andrea. She was looking at him with a "What took you so long?" expression.

"Andrea, I didn't know that this girl was related to you," Noah's lips twitched as he motioned for his son and daughter to follow him inside the room.

"Hehe, it's been a while senior," Andrea replied with a smile. "You look dashing as always."

"And you still look like a fairy." Noah tried his best not to roll his eyes at the lady sitting in front of him.

He then shifted his attention to Kate. The girl was the complete opposite of the disheveled girl that he saw during the examination. Her hair was arranged in a hairstyle that complimented her pretty face, and her beautiful pink dress highlighted her youthful charm. There was no doubt in Noah's mind that this girl would be a stunning beauty after a few years.

While he was observing Kate, he heard a soft intake of breath beside him. Noah held back a sigh as he glanced at his son who was standing at his side. Stephen was staring at Kate with his mouth agape. The young boy knew that he was going to meet the person who saved his life, but his father didn't tell him that she was a very pretty girl!

Noah placed his hand over his son's shoulder and gave him a slight shake which brought the young boy out of his daze.

"Introduce yourself," Noah said as he patted his son's shoulder.

Stephen smiled sweetly which made his devilish appearance more striking. His handsome features were very different from Ciel's. Ciel looked like an angel, while Stephen looked like a mischievous devil that would drag you to hell with him. He was the typical bad boy type which some ladies found irresistibly attractive.

"My name is Stephen Malfoy," Stephen beamed at Kate. "Thank you for saving my life."
