Claire was lying on her bed and thinking about the scene she saw during lunch time. The girl who was seated beside Ethan was very beautiful.

She could tell from a glance that the girl was quite shy. However, her shyness only added to her charm. The combination of beauty and shyness was so devastating that it made Claire feel insecure.

"Why am I feeling like this?" Claire couldn't explain the sourness that was oozing out of her heart. "It's not like I'm in love with that stupid Ethan."

Indeed. When Claire first saw Ethan, she didn't feel any kind of attachment to him. The boy had above average features, but he couldn't hold a candle against Ciel and Stephen.

Even so, Ethan had this kind of presence that makes you want to depend on him. A feeling that you can count on him when things go beyond your control.

Claire knew that Ethan liked Kate. This was very obvious from an observer's point of view. This was also the reason why she only treated him like a friend.
