Kate, Ciel, and Chloe finally arrived at the abandoned building. Since the letter didn't specify a specific location, the three decided to do a bit of exploration. Their first destination was the inner courtyard.

This had been their meeting place when they decided to explore the abandoned building last Sunday.

The abandoned building had five floors with the inner courtyard at its center. With a glance, anyone would notice that the trees were still thriving despite the lack of care and attention. However, the benches around the trees were dirty.

It just showed how much this place had not been used as of late. For some reason, the higher-ups of the school seemed content to let it stay that way.

This was the one thing that had puzzled some of the students in the academy for years. For a high-class institution like Saint Clare, why would they leave an unused building to rot? Why not renovate it and use it to accommodate more students?
