178 Phase Two [Part 3]

"Sh*t," Carl cursed as she ran with all his might. 'Why did Lazarus pick a bone with us this time? We didn't poke any hornet's nests as of late.'

Carl thought of the things their organization did in England over the past few months, and he couldn't find any reason why one of the most famous mercenary groups was hounding their tail. 

'Was it because of Adam?' Carl thought, but he rejected the idea as soon as it appeared inside his mind. 

Their operation was flawless. Even if Adam was somehow linked to Lazarus, how could an organization of that size easily mobilize in just a matter of hours? 

'There has to be another reason, but what?' Carl asked himself. 'Maybe this was just a misunderstanding and we can negotiate.'
