77 Let’s Go On A Date

Kate rolled listlessly on the top of her bed. It was the day after their food escapade in Neville's family's restaurant. After getting the results of the exam, all her tension, and anxiousness disappeared. Unfortunately, It was replaced by a feeling of loss and boredom.

She had spent the past few months studying for the exam. After seeing the test results, Kate felt relieved and happy at the same time. However, after all the pressure disappeared, only emptiness remained.

The official start of the school year was in September, which was still a month away. Kate didn't know what to do during this period of time. She had been thinking about this the moment she woke up and still hadn't found an answer. While she was still deep in thought, a soft knocking sound was heard from[on] the door of her room.

"Who is it?"

"It's Ciel."

"Come in."

Kate was feeling lazy so she continued to roll on top of the bed. Ciel entered the room and his lips curled up when he saw the girl's current state.

"Are you bored?" Ciel asked.

"Very," Kate replied. She stopped rolling on the bed and glanced at Ciel. "Do you have plans for today?"

"No."

"Mmm."

Ciel lightly sat on the bed and poked Kate's nose. "I told you to use proper etiquette yesterday, but you ignored it and ate like a pig. Aren't you afraid of what the others might think about your table manners?"

Kate's body suddenly stiffened. Indeed. Ciel told her yesterday to use proper etiquette. However, when the food was served, she completely forgot about it. The glutton curled up like a shrimp in embarrassment.

She too found her lack of self control disappointing, but what could she do? A sudden idea popped up inside her head and she immediately retreated inside her mindscape. Stella was still asleep and Kate took advantage of her defenseless state.

'Stella, switch!'

[Mmm?]

A pair of sleepy hazel eyes met a pair of clear blue eyes. Stella blinked once then twice then thrice.

"Good morning, Darling," Stella greeted Ciel.

"Stella?" Ciel asked.

"It's me."

"Where did the little piggy go?"

Stella's lips curled as she lazily propped herself in a seating position. She raised her hands and stretched her body from side to side. She ignored Ciel's question and tilted her head to the side and gave him a mischievous smile.

"The little piggy ran away," Stella said. She moved closer to Ciel and lightly played with the collar of his shirt. "I was sleeping peacefully when I was forcefully dragged outside. You better take responsibility, Darling."

Ciel's lips twitched. He was still not used to this mischievous and aggressive split personality of Kate's. He was very curious how the two shared a single body and how they switched places. The boy wanted to ask the girl in front of him, but decided not to.

"Darling, do you still remember your promise?"

"Mmm."

"Then can I tell you what I want right now?"

The blonde boy narrowed his eyes. He did make a promise and he will keep his word. Even so, he still felt anxious about the kind of request this girl named Stella would ask of him.

"Since I made a promise, of course I will keep it," Ciel answered in a firm manner. "What is your request?"

"Then can you call me Honey?"

'So cheesy!' Kate gasped from inside their shared mindscape. She couldn't believe that Stella would say such a thing to Ciel. Although she was surprised, she also wanted to know how the boy in front of her would answer.

"Ho-How about No?" Ciel said with a frown. "Think of other requests."

"That's no good. You can't go back on your word," Stella said teasingly. The girl already expected Ciel's answer, but she refused to back down.

"It's too cheesy. Change it."

"You're so demanding."

The two stared at each other for a long time. Stella was observing Ciel's expression and the latter was doing the same. Both of them were trying to read each other's thoughts. Stella took the initiative and lightly pushed Ciel down on the bed.

"Since you don't want to call me Honey, then call me Sweetheart instead."

"No."

"Beloved?"

"No."

Stella smirked and poked Ciel's nose. "No this, no that. Ciel, are you taking your promise too lightly?"

"Think about it, would you call a complete stranger Honey?" Ciel asked back. "Would you call them Sweetheart? Beloved?"

"I see! You think of me as a complete stranger," Stella said while placing her hand over her forehead. Ciel could see the smirk appearing on Stella's face.

"Then should we get to know each other first? That way you will be able to call me, Beloved?"

Ciel sighed and closed his eyes. He knew there would be no use arguing with this girl. Kate and Stella might look the same, but their personalities were very different from each other. If Kate were here, she would never do the things that this girl was doing right now.

"Why are you so fixated in making me call you those nicknames?"

"Why? Because I want to be Special. You can treat Kate however you want to treat her, but I'm different. Naturally, I want to be treated differently."

'I see,' Ciel thought. Somehow, he vaguely understood what Stella wanted. This girl wanted to have a clear line on how he should treat her in the future. She didn't want to be treated like a little sister, nor she wanted to be treated like how he treated Kate.

'She wanted to be Special…' Ciel felt a headache coming his way. He was struggling to handle this aggressive personality of Kate's. While he was thinking, he felt a soft hand caress the side of his face.

"Darling, I can't stay for long and I know this is a bit sudden," Stella said with a mischievous grin. "But how about the two of us go on a date today?"

"A date?"

"Yes, a date. If you refuse...I'll make you regret it."

Ciel sighed and looked at Stella with a fed up expression. "Why do you always resort to threats if you don't get your way?"

"Is that a No?"

"Is this your request?"

"My request is for you to call me Honey, Sweetheart, or Beloved," Stella lightly pinched Ciel's ears. "But you don't want to, so what can I do? Let's just go on a date. Consider this the reward you give me for watching over Kate during the exam."

Ciel reluctantly nodded his head. He had no plans for today, and Chloe was back at her own residence. It would also be a good opportunity to get to know this mysterious girl better. For Ciel, Stella was a variable that he couldn't understand. It would be best to get to know her so he could have a better understanding about Kate's past.

"Very well. Let's go on a date."
