It happened during the first morning break of the day.

"Mr. Kerr, can I join you for lunch later?" Annabell said with a smile. She had mustered all her courage in order to approach the boy who made her heart beat wildly in her chest.

Ethan looked at the class beauty with surprise. "You want to join us for lunch?"

"Yes! My mother said that I should get to know my classmates well," Annabell answered. "She said that since I am a class officer, I should get to know the other officers first."

Annabelle apologized to her mother inside her heart. The one who thought of this idea was her roommate, Agnes, and not her mother. Even now, she couldn't believe that she lied just to find an excuse to get close to Ethan.

She felt guilty about it and decided to apologize to her mother by giving her a call after school.
