88 Human Touch

The cocoon that was in the center of Kate's mindscape started to glow. Just like the beating of a heart, the lights blinked on and off in a steady rhythm. A minute later, cracks started to spread on its surface.

Suddenly, a pale hand pushed out from inside the cocoon. The hand looked delicate, yet there was a hidden strength within its softness. The cocoon stopped glowing and what followed next was a sweet sigh.

The voice clearly belonged to a young girl. It was soft, sweet, and mildly seductive. A few seconds later, the cocoon broke into pieces. A young girl stood inside the mindscape. She was not wearing anything. Her eyes were still closed and yet another seductive sigh escaped her lips.

She was like a flower in full bloom basking in the sunlight. However, there was no sun inside the mindscape. Only a gray world bereft of anything. But, that too was about to change. The gray clouds parted, replaced by a clear blue sky.
