You think you deserve love ?

FLICK, FLICK the sound of a lighter clicking in the dim surrounding. A groan was heard, and once more and the same FLICK, FLICK resounded. Quickly, a dancing flame lit up a little part of the room. The lighter was brought to a cigarette that a being was held in between their index and middle finger, immediately the paper casing began to deteriorate as the embers of the flame slowly swallowed its meal. The person did not hesitate and swiftly brought the sweet addiction to their lips. Taking a long drag of it, a clear puff flowed into the chilled air; dispelling into the air.

CLANG, the sound of the lighter hitting the floor bounced off just a bit due to potential energy. Stopping at a body that was sprawled on the marble floor, blood flowing from the body. A groan came from the mouth of the person. Unfortunately, the disturbing sound went on deaf ears, as the figure still took a couple more drags from the cigarette. The figure scoffed then sneered, white teeth coming to view from the drawback of their lips. ''Look at you, laying there like the disgusting rat you are'' the ambiguous mammoth said whiles looking down at the body.

The body was her spouse; her husband. The one she was supposed to share her love with, raise their children, as well as who she made a vow under God to be his side until the end of her days. Oh, how the tables have turned. She thought. Continuing to look down at his body, she wished he ceased to breathe. She felt utterly satisfied when she laid her hands on him, whiles he did nothing about it. He was too scared to lift a hand on the woman he loved and gave all his undivided attention to. And she herself was well aware of that fact. But it did not matter as she used it to her advantage, ultimately making sure she taught her little kitten to be obedient.

So he took all the cuts and bruises, as well as the occasional burns. Turning his head slightly he hissed at the sting that came from his back, as well as the back of his legs, he knew if he moved he'd bleed out more so he could only move slowly. Glancing at the face he barely saw on the other side of the bed. How had it come to this? . He thought.
