We are best friend right?

The next morning.

A musical sound rang through the room. Joyce has gotten a message. She went to look at her phone.

Jayden: Good morning! :) sleep well? going anywhere today?

Joyce: Mornink! :D slept like a pig last night. Going bookshop to buy some books. You?

His reply came almost immediately.

Jayden: Going to school to hand in some paperwork. Be careful, k?

"Joyce? are you ready?" Lily stuck her head inside the room from the door.

"Yeah, let's go!"

Joyce quickly type her reply: I will! You too!

Joyce grabbed her bag and quickly left the room.

While waiting at the bus-stop.

Lily has a solemn face. She looked contemplative. She was staring at the bus-stop opposite the place where they sit. it's the bus-stop that going the other way.

"Do you know sometimes I go to school earlier?" Lily looked at the bus-stop while asking Joyce this questions.

"Do you? Why?" Joyce was baffled why she suddenly talked about this in such pensive manner.

Joyce would never know how Lily went to school. It was because her school was much further than Lily's so she need to leave at least forty-five minutes earlier in order to arrive at school on time. Whereas Lily's school was still a walking distance away so she didn't need to ride busses to school.

"Sometimes I like to sit at the other bus-stop near the entrance of the school when I go to school earlier. I like to watch people coming down from the bus, arriving together happily, greeting each other and walking together to school."

"Hmmm..." Joyce was a little confused why Lily suddenly told her this but still she listened quietly to her.

"Sometimes, I waited for Sherly and Jayden to arrived and crossed the road." Lily continued as if in daze. "Everyday, I waited at the bus-stop and trying to catch sherly's and his shadow of image. When I saw them in the bus waiting for their turn to come out, I would feel excited. I couldn't understand then why I felt that way. I was clueless, but I tend to look for him if I didn't see him. I thought it was because you were not there so Sherly and Jay was like my school close friends. But lately, during these holiday, I missed him so much. I wanted to call him but I dared not. I keep dreaming about going on a date with him and how happy I felt. The I realized Joyce, I really truly like Jayden a lot..."

"..." Joyce couldn't speak a word. She was shocked because Lily, a bubbly and energetic girl could look so serene when she was talking about a boy she likes.

"However, I am also afraid that he might not feel the same way about me. What should I do?" Lily looked at Joyce with such sorrowful eyes. A confident and lively girl had suddenly lose faith in herself.

" Uhmmm ... I think you might be asking the wrong person here..." Joyce replied nervously... In her mind, she knew that Jayden liked her but she also didn't know how to tell Lily. It was a huge dilemma for Joyce.

"You are right! What am I thinking asking you about this? You have never been in a relationship! I don't even know if you have anybody you like!" Lily laughed at herself. Feeling ridiculous.

Then an idea came to her!

Turning to Joyce, she looked at her with puppy eyes. She looked so irressistible that Joyce had sudden premonition that whatever she would request of her won't be a good one, but nevertheless she wouldn't be able to reject it either once she was given that puppy-eye look.

Resigning to her fate, she looked at Lily suspiciously. "What?" She asked Lily. Knowing a ridiculous plea was coming her way.

"Hmmm... You know I love you very much right Joyce? and I never caused you any trouble all these time we are together..."

Joyce raised one of her eye-brow at the last statement.

"Ah, okay. That is not totally true I know... But at least I never caused you any huge problems. hehehe... Just small one... And I really really appreciate our friendship!" Lily exclaimed sweetly. Trying to sweet talk her way to make Joyce do whatever she planned to do.

"Go on... I'm listening to your upcoming praise..." Joyce replied to Lily. Knowing that Lily was going to praise her and make her sound like she's the kindest angel of the universe, the best sister that Lily would ever had, the smartest person alive and so on until she had finished then Joyce will be able to know what she really really want Joyce to do.

"You are the best of the best, the cream on top! Sooo... It will have to be you... Without your help I would be nothing...."

"Cut it out Lily, I know what you are trying to do..." Joyce said dryly. Preparing to agree to whatever request Lily gonna made.

"Help me asked Jayden how he feels about me!" Suddenly Lily blurted out her request.

Jaw dropping, Joyce looked at Lily! Lily was looking at her with hopeful eyes.

"No Way!" she rejected before she realized it...

"You should ask him yourself you know... It'll be awkward if I asked for you..." she quickly think of explanation for Lily. Heart thumping from nervousness.

This love business is really not her forte. Her weak heart couldn't take it. Really!

" You are right! I'm sorry that I asked. I'll think of a way to ask him and find out about his real feeling."

"Yes! You should try to do it by yourself. It won't have any meaning if I do it for you..." Joyce encouraged her.

Now I'm really in deep trouble. How should I tell Loly about Jay's real feeling? Joyce think to herself... She predicted insomnia would come in the first couple of days.

Just as they finished chatting, the bus came. They got on the bus together and forgot about this conversation for awhile.
