The Meeting

After finished the photo taking session with the bride and groom, Joyce and her 2 roomates were ready to leave the Hotel and was waiting for their taxi in the hotel lobby.

"Let me go out and try to get the taxi. Once I found the taxi, I"ll contact you and then both of you go out." Franda offered.

"Okay" both Jenny and Joyce replied.

It was almost midnight and it'll be quite hard to get taxi at such time.

Since Joyce was a little tipsy from the wine drinking just now, so she suddenly lost her balance and almost fell down. Wearing high-heel is really troublesome but necessary to look good especially when you are wearing dress.

Oh! How embarassing!

Luckily before she totally fell on the floor, she managed to stop herself from falling completely by using one of her hand to break her fall.

Phew! Disaster avoided! Since she is wearing a tight fitting cheongsam, if she really fell, she might just tore her dress. so, it's really a disaster avoided....

However, a sharp pain shot through her leg. She had sprained her leg... What an unlucky night! she thought to herself. Little did she know that her small action has caught the attention of certain someone.

Jayden was just going to go back home after the Gala Dinner, when he saw a lady in peach coloured cheongsam almost fell down but manage to stop herself from completely embarrasing herself. A small smile almost tugged at his lips when he zoomed in her face. Isn't that lady look familiar? in fact, her clumsy way of standing looked very familiar to him. Reminding him of the girl he once knew. But impossible! that girl would never wear a dress. Such tomboy would never wear such tight fitting dress at all. She always value comfortability than style. But still, he smiled inwardly and move on into his awaiting car.

Suddenly, the girl laugh, and her tinkling laughter made him stop immediately. He turned around and looked at the source of the sound. Found out that the lady he was looking just now is the source. Curious, he slowly walked towards them.

"Hahaha, don't worry Jen. I'm fine... This kind of small matter will not affect me. I will just borrow a sandal from the hotel and took off my high heels. and it'll be okay." Joyce, as an ever positive being always takes things easy and positive thinking. To her, there's no such thing as a problem we can't stop. Never give up is her motto.

"Joyce?" a deep masculine sound called her. Her whole body got a goosebump upon hearing the voice called her. Her friend, Jenny, stared at the man who called her, silenced and dumbfounded. She slowly turned around and saw HIM!

He was wearing a tuxedo! Compared to the youngster she knew before, she almost don't recognized him if he didn't called her first. Keeping the pain to herself, she squeeked, "Jay?"

"It's really you?!" looking incredulous Jayden Oh commented. "What are you doing in dresses?!"

Even though her leg has becoming quite painful at that moment she felt indignant at his comment. What did he mean by that?

"Wedding Banquet. Do you expect me to wear casual clothes to wedding?" she challenged him with a raised eyebrow.

Many people would tell you that Jayden is not someone who will apologised for his action or speech. However, after looking at her raised eyebrow he immediately said, "Sorry, I didn't mean to insult you. It's just I never thought of you as someone who will wear dress ever. How's your leg? Need me to bring you to hospital?"

The moment he asked, Joyce phone rang...

"Hello, okay Fran. I'll wait for you outside now."

"Let's go Jen! The car is almost here."

Looking at Jay, she said, "Sorry, my friend is here. I'll leave first. My leg is fine. I'll just need to rest it for a few days. Thanks for your concern though. See you!" ans Joyce quickly grabbed Jen's hand and off they go and immediately went into the taxi that Franda had ordered.

Is she trying to run away from me?? Jay was thinking to himself.
