The First Date: Awkward!

School End-Term Holiday is here! Joyce was back at her hometown.

"Mom! Let's go eat some Wonton Noodle at the Morning Market!" she excitedly asked.

"Sure!"

They both went to eat breakfast, bought some meat and vegetables home to cooked. Joyce, though a tomboy, she was quite good at domestic chores since she's the eldest of 4. She has 3 more brothers. So, housework has always been her responsibility.

Busying the whole day. She then sat down and took out her old novel and started to read them.

Ring... Ring... The telephone in the living room rang. She went to pick up.

"Hello, good morning. May I speak to Joyce please?" a deep male voice asked through the phone.

"This is her. May I know who is speaking?"

"Oh, Hi! Joyce! It's Jayden!"

"Hi! What's up!"

"Have you planned anything for this Saturday?"

"No. I don't think so. Why?"

"Do you want to watch the movie Fast Lane?"

"YES!!!!!" she replied excitedly. "just the two of us?"

"Do you mind?"

"No...No No... It's fine" she quickly replied. she has been wanting to watch this movie but haven't got the chance to do so. Naturally, she was very excited.

"Okay, let's meet at Centrium Mall on Saturday then? at the lobby, around lunch time. k?"

"Sure! See you!"

"See you!"

That Saturday, Joyce woke up. Feeling energetic. She started to take out her clothes and decided to wear a more feminine clothes. She wore white knitted top and jeans. She then blow-dried her hair and started to get ready to go.

She arrived and saw that Jayden hadn't arrived yet, so she sat at the nearest bench and waited for him. She was reading her book while waiting then she saw somebody stood in front of her. She looked up and saw Jayden in a totally new light.

That day, he wore a casual slim cut T-Shirt with an abstract drawing, a straight cut black jeans with ripped knee, and he was wearing a stabillo blue nike sport shoes. His usually messy hair was styled in spiky style which suit his face well. His aura has changed totally. Then this male-god smiled. Her heart started to beat faster and she saw his mouth moving.

"Earth to Joyce?"

"What....????" she answered distractedly.

"A penny for your thought?" Jayden looked at her intently. Making her blushed furiously.

"Sorry... I was distracted." she admitted shyly.

"By what...???" Jayden asked while looking around trying to find the source of distraction.

You. She answered silently.

"Err, nothing. Let's go!"

"Let's get ticket first then have our lunch?" Jay suggested.

"Yeah! Let's!"

So they both went to queue for the ticket.

Finally, It was their turn.

"What movie?" the cashier asked.

"2 tickets for Fast Lane please?" Jayden told her.

"Do you want single seat or couple seat?"

Thinking that she meant to say they only have a few 2 seats adjoining, or to sit seperately, so Jay chose couple seat after confirming with Joyce.

After lunch, they walked around the shopping centre until it was time for the movie.

Both went to buy some popcorn and a couple of drinks and enter the theater.
