Storm is coming

Thunder strucked, cracked and shook the whole sky.

Lightning Flashed through the darkened sky.

It was supposed to be only 10 in the morning...

However, with black cloud covering the whole sky, it felt like evening instead of morning.

Thundrstorm was coming fast.

"Look like the flight will be delayed." Joyce commented gloomily...

"I don't mind. I get to spend more time with you... " Jay gazed tenderly at her.

"....." Joyce just blushed. Who said that he was a stiff man. He definitely have the ability to sweet talk women. Such a sweet talker.

"Well, today will be the last day we can chat and be close to each other." he sighed. "Once we are back to S country, we will be busy preparing for our school's new semester."

"Guess what!"Joyce smiled mischievously.

Jayden just raised his eyes questioningly.

"My parents finally allow me to use mobile phone!" she said excitedly. "Now we can at least text each other when we are busy!"

"Oh, great! Miscall to my number. So I can save your number. "

Suddenly an announcement about the delayed flight is on.

"Passengers on flight WK 102 to S country please be noted that due to the bad weather our flight will be delayed until further notice. We apologised for the inconvenience caused."

"Shoot! Now I better call my mom or she'll get worried! Call your mom too!" she started to punch her home phone number while talking to Jay.

Both immediately speaking to their respective parents. Assuring them that they were okay, that the flight was delayed and woukd inform them again if there was any changes.

3 hours passed by but the storm didn't show sign of stopping. If possible, it seemed that the storm had actually gotten worst.

"Lily will be worried..." Joyce said looking at the depressing weather. The mobile phone signal was bad due to the bad weather. The television show that the storm has caused deluge in the middle of the town. If the rain continued on, the whole town would be in flood.

Joyce would be worried if she was caught in this situation all by herself so she was actually glad that she had Jayden as company.

The rain went on incessantly until it was 7 p.m at night. By then, the whole runway was covered in water of knee high. It was impossible for aircraft to fly and it was also impossible for passengers to go back to their respective home. Thus, The passenger in the airport mostly slept on the sofa or sleeping bag provided by the airport.

"Oh my", Joyce sigh..."What would I do if I happened to be alone today? Luckily I have you..."

"You should rest. I'll sleep a little bit later." Jayden said to Joyce.

"You need to rest too you know... But I don't think I can sleep well in this kind of condition..." Joyce told him.

"Don't worry... I'm here. I'll look after you. You've got more wrinkles now on your face caused of worrying..." Jayden reassured her while teasing her.

" You!: Joyce pouted sweetly and lightly hit him with her fist on his arm.

Using one hand, Jayden suddenly hugged her!! "Sleep!" he ordered. " or perhaps you want to have a good night kiss??????" he wriggled his eyebrows at her, smiling.

She pushed him and glared at him. Red faced.

" Don't you dare!"

"You want to try me?" Jayden raised one of his eyebrow, challenging her.

"!!!!!!"

Seeing that he was serious, Joyce quickly closed her eyes and tried to sleep. Within 10 minutes, she fell fast asleep...

Looking tenderly at the girl who laid beside him, Jay smiled and push some of the hairs that covers her face and tucked them away behind her ear. He kept looking at her until his eyes were heavy, then he said softly," Good Night, Joyce! I'm glad I changed my flight..."

" Joyce!!!!!!!! Jayden!!!!!!!!???????" Lily was waving madly at both of them.

"How are you both??? I was sooo worried when I watched the news on TV but was unable to contact both of you. Sherly was here too. She told me Jay changed his flight due to family matters." She prattered on.

"No worry, We were fine. We just needed to spend the night at the airport last night." Joyce told Lily assuringly.

"Well, I'm glad you were both together. At least you can take care of each other... Thanks Jay for taking care of Joyce!" Lily said to Jay.

" No problem. Let's go!"

" Yeah, Sherly waited for us at the taxi stand there so we don't have to queue up for too long... Look at you both! You must be sool tired. " Lily went on and on like a hen talking to her chick.

Joyce and Jayden peeked at each other, and smirked, suddenly found all of this amusing.

"There she is! Sherly! Over here!" Lily called out to her.

"Hey! How are you both?" She waited for them to come to her before she looked at Joyce and asked straight-forwardly. "Did he misbehave?"

"Hey! I'm a total gentleman okay?" Jayden complained.

The four of them then laughed together in harmony.

Upon reaching Joyce and Lily's place, Jayden and Sherly took the same taxi and went back to their place. On the way, Sherly started to interrogate.

"So, anything happened?"

"Uh - huh..."

"Uh - huh what?"

"Yes. Something happened." Jayden answered shortly.

"So...? Then....? Arrrghhh the suspense is killing me... Don't be so stingy with your information, bro!" Sherly was soooo frustrated with his answered as she felt like choking him on the spot.

"Well, I confessed to her.." Jayden answered patiently.

"YOU CONFESSED!!!!!" sherly shrieked.

"Yes. Then she said she'll think about it." Jay said happily.

"SHE SAID SHE'LL THINK ABOUT IT??!!!" sherly shrieked again...

"Miss, please lower down your voice, please? You kinda surprised me with your shouting." The taxi driver suddenly requested.

"Oh, sorry sir." she answered sheepishly.

"I want details when we got home!" Sherly threatened Jay.

"or???" Jay looked at her. eyebrow raised.

"I'll tell yout mon the real reason why you changed your flight!" she said happily while sticking out her tongue at him.

"you!!!!" Jayden was at lost for words once he heard her.

"Fine! I'll tell you all about it. But before she truly agrees to go out officially with me this is a secret okay? I promised her to give her time." he said to Sherly fervently.

"Chill out... cool down boy... I promised. Kay?"

Assured, Jay started to tell Sherly what happened at the airport the day before.
