Slowly the Feeling Grows

During Holiday, Every morning, Jayden would call Joyce and they would chat for about an hour. In the evening, he would call again and they will discuss many things from school to new songs.

That morning was no difference.

The phone in the living room rang. Joyce went to pick up the phone.

"Hello, may I speak to Joyce please?" a masculine voice rang through.

"Hi! It's me." Joyce answered munching away with a bread on her hand.

"Hi.." the formal voice just now gave way to become warmer and more approachable. "Are you still eating your breakfast?" he asked casually.

"uh-huh.."

"Should I call later?"

"Err.. It's okay... I can talk... What did you have for breakfast today?" Joyce asked Jay. she has becoming more and more relaxed with him.

"We had wonton noodle this morning. My mom made the noodle last night."

"Really...?!" Upon hearing about food Joyce immediately sat up straight and give her 100 percent concentration.

"hahaha .. you and your food..." Jayden chuckled softly when he heard her adorable interest in his breakfast. "What are you having this morning?"

"I have just eaten fried-rice and now I am eating the rolled cake." Joyce replied.

"Is there anything you don't eat?" Jayden teased her.

"You? hahahaha" Joyce laugh.

"I don't mind being your food if it makes you happy." Jayden said seriously.

"..." Upon hearing this Joyce's heart started to beat faster and warmth spread through her whole body...

"Then I will lose one of my closest friend..." she replied shyly...

"Hahahaha..." Jayden laughed when he heard her reply. "Do you want to go out tonight? I heard there's a new garden-themed restaurant opening in town." Jayden asked.

"Oh, I know I know! The one near the Imperial Plaza Hotel right? I heard their food is very delicious. Has been wanting to go there but Dad is busy lately so we haven't got the chance to go there." Joyce was practically jumping up and down... "Let's go with the others. I'll asked Lily too...!"

"Don't you want to go just with me???" Jayden asked her quietly...

" W-W-What...." Joyce was caught off guard and stammered...

"I want to go with you only. Just the two of us. That's it if you would like to..." Jayden said seriously...

Her heart beat faster and faster again... She felt like having a fever and her body was hot all over...

"Or you can ask Lily... It's okay you.." before Jay could finished talking he was cut by her reply.

"YES!" she was finally able to find her voice!

"Ah........" Jayden was quite suddenly... Yes! Yes! Yes! he was thinking happily but was unable to say anything since he was grinning like a mad man.

"Hello... Hello..." Joyce was confused and thinking what was wrong with the connection. She looked at her phone and said,"Hello??? Hello???" again.

"Yes!" Jayden's voice boomed in the phone. "I'll pick you up at 6p.m later k?!" he said excitedly.

"Okay... I'll be ready..." Joyce stared at the phone while picking on her ears. His voice was so loud that her ears rang....

"See you!" Jayden said.

"See you..." Joyce said.

...... nobody close the phone....

"Okay... Bye bye..." Jay said again.

"Okay. Byeeee...." Joyce replied.

............

"Why aren't you closing the phone?" Jayden asked Joyce curiously.

"I was waiting for you to close the phone first." Joyce replied innocently.

"Okay.... Bye....."

"Bye..."

...........

Both of the laughed....

"Let's close them together...." Jayden was smiling when he suggested this.

"Okay..." Joyce replied reluctantly.

"Okay, one...."

"two..."

"three...."

......

And it went on and on for 10 minutes before they FINALLY close the phone....
