Then an ear-splitting screamed can be heard, "GETTTT OUUUTTTTTT!!!!!!!"
Jayden and Joyce were just on their way to the laboratorium for blood testing when they passed Lily's room and heard the commotion.
"What's going on?!!!" They looked at each other and quickly ran towards Lily's room to check.
The sight that greeted them was horrendous! A broken bowl of noodle soup spilled on the floor. A broken glass of water was seen not further away.... A nurse was standing beside the bed looking scared and confused. Another nurse tried to touch Lily but her hand was pushed away harshly by Lily.
In the middle of the bed, the usually smiling, happy, playful and beautiful Lily was messy and red in the face and was screaming at the top of her lungs. She was throwing tantrum in the worst way possible.
Jayden unconsciously pulled Joyce towards him. Lily saw how protective Jayden was towards Joyce, and her outburst worsen.
Joyce was shaken with how hysterical Lily was. She couldn't understand why she became like this suddenly.
A series of footsteps was heard outside, and come in Dr. Goh and Mrs.Chua.
One of the nurse had just informed them what had happened to Lily during their absence.
"I am sorry, Maam. She overheard us talking about her disease and then throw her temper. We are so sorry..."
"How careless of you!!!!!" Dr.Goh scolded the nurse for making such a stupid mistake!
"Baby! Please talk to me... Please don't scare me, dear..." Mrs. Chua tried to talk to Lily and calm her down. However, Lily was not listening to her.
"Will it make any difference if I say anything you??? Can you make my disease go away???!!!!!!! Get out all of you!!! You won't be able to help me with anything!!!!" Lily started screaming again.
"Oh, Baby.... Pleaseee, I beg you, please calm down... My poor baby.... " Mrs. Chua covered her mouth and cried. She was heart-broken to see her beloved only daughter in this way. Her mouth trembling...
Mrs. Chua tried to take a breath to calm herself down and cleared her mind. Though she was still sobbing, she walked slowly over to Lily and tenderly hugged her precious daughter.
"Mommy failed you, baby... Oh my precious baby...." She cried agonizingly. If only she could replace her daughter and be the one who gets this disease, she would willingly do so... Which parent will not have their heart broken to see their children with such deadly disease. All the sadness and disappointment poured out continuously in ceaseless tears.
Everybody in the room watched as the mother and daughter hugged each other while crying their heart out.
Lily finally fell asleep. She was exhausted after her emotional outburst.
Her mom caressed her face lovingly while staring at her peaceful face. God, please give my child a second chance to live a healthy life. Two stream of tears flowed down silently upon her fervent prayer...

Everybody had gone back home. Lily's mom was with her dad and the other family members who had just arrived. They were going to do blood compatibility test.
Joyce accompanied Lily in her room. Peeling oranges for her to eat and chat with her.
"Why must I get this kind of disease, Joyce?" Lily asked in melancholy, staring into space....
Joyce hold both Lily's hand, looked into her eyes and said caringly, "Hey, don't get discourage yet. You are still young and have good immune system. You have a good chance of recovery. Didn't Dr.Goh said we just need to find a bone-marrow donor and you can start the treatment?" Joyce tried her best to keep Lily's spirit up.
"Don't try to fool me, Joyce. We both know how menacing cancer is."
"Yes, I know cancer is dangerous and deadly. I won't lie to you. However, there are new treatments and new medicines discovered every year. So, you may have the chance to survive. Your survival rate is not a total zero. Hence you should keep your hope and spirit up!" Joyce reasoned with her.
"Anyway, I'm gonna be soooo ugly once the treatment start later... I heard chemotheraphy will make you lose your hair, and your skin will turn greyish and sunken... " sighing loudly Lily stared into space again...
As a teenager, she should be having the best time of her life with regards to health and beauty. A blossoming flower. Her best year is yet to come! Now she will spend her time in and out of hospital bed, having needles poked through her body several times. Going in and out of the theraphy room. Losing her youth, losing her beauty. All these thought are depressing indeed....
"Don't say that. When you have recovered, you'll get your beautiful hair back. You'll be able to go to places with all of us again. Don't you want that? I will stay with you during your treatment period. I promise. Okay?"
"Pinky swear promise?" Lily finally smiling teasingly at Joyce.
"Yes, pinky swear promise." Joyce replied solemnly.
Lily mom silently wiped her tear when watching the two girls linking their pinky finger to make the pinky-swear official. She was going to enter the room when she heard how Joyce tried to cheer Lily. She felt that her daughter was extremely blessed to have such a good friend by her side during her most difficult time...
