Joyce: Hi, Don't think we can meet tomorrow. I need to go hospital. Lily's result comes out tomorrow.

Jayden: Will go to hospital with Sher tomorrow. C u.

Joyce, "...." This man is really..... !!!!

So, the next day Joyce immediately went to the hospital to see if Lily's result was out. She hoped that they could find a matching donor soon since she hoped that Lily could get well as soon as possible.

The moment Joyce entered Lily's room, she saw the trio was laughing happily. Lily's face was glowing and she knew the reason behind it. However, although she was happy to see Lily's feeling good, she still had a sense of dread. She didn't know how to tell Lily's about Jayden and her. She knew that feeling cannot be forced but still she would try to protect Lily's feeling as much as possible. Apart from that, she hoped that her friendship with Lily would not change because of this but she also knew that it would not ever be the same again if Lily should find out. So she had been having a heavy feeling about it since yesterday. She definitely hope that she could have an answer to this problem soon.

Putting on a smiling face Joyce greeted the trio. "Hi! How come you both are here so early...???"

"Hi! They are excited to see me of course..." Lily stuck out her tongue and smiled happily at both Sherly and Jayden.

"How come you are so late?" Jayden direct the question to Joyce.

"Yeah, we had school event coming soon so my class held a short meeting in the classroom just now before going home."

"Hmmm... Do you bring my favourite fried bread stick??!" Lily asked excitedly.

"What do you think???? Of course I do! " She took out a small plastic of Fried Bread Stick and gave it to Lily.

"Quick! Give me! Look out for the nurse!" Lily ordered. She quickly took one of the fried bread and ate it.

"Hmmmm.... This is soo sooo yummy...." She said while her mouth still full, savoring the taste.

Joyce stood at the door to make sure that the nurse would not find out about Lily. Sherly and Jayden shook their head looking at their antics. Though secretly Jayden found that Joyce is adorable that way. Both looked like 2 thieves who were scared to get caught and looked out for each other.

"Lily! Quick! Finish your food! Your mom and Dr. Goh are coming!" Joyce suddenly warned Lily.

Lily quickly stuffed the left over breadstick into her mouth, munched quickly and swallowed them in one whole gulp. She choked and Sherly quickly gave her a glass of water to drink and tapped her back to stop the choking.

Joyce quickly ran towards Lily and stood by her bed and pretended that nothing happened.

"Hi! How are you Lily?" Dr. Goh asked casually.

"Hi, Dr. Goh... I feel good... Heheehe" Lily laughed awkwardly and then coughed again.

Both doctor and Mrs. Chua looked at each other and then looked at the children smiling.

"We have good news." Mrs. Chua began excitedly.

"We found a matching donor for Lily?!!" Joyce asked elatedly.

"Yes!"Mrs. Chua was grinning already. "One of Lily's cousin matches and the hospital is now checking her health and everything. Tomorrow Lily will also go through series of test. If there's no problem, we can begin the bone-marrow transplant next week."

"Kyaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!" All the three girls were now jumping around holding each other hands. Jayden was smiling looking at the three. Hope everything would go well until after the operation.

Dr Goh looked at the happy people in the room, feeling somewhat contented that they could find a donor so quickly. He left after chatting with Lily for a while.

Sherly looked at Jayden, " Should we leave now? It's quite late already."

Jayden looked at Lily and said his goodbye, he then looked at Joyce and asked,"Do you want to come along?"

"Hmmm.. Maybe later..." Joyce looked at Lily and smiled. She wanted to stay with Lily awhile longer.

"Go go... It's dangerous for a girl to stay out late. They can send you home before going home since they live close by." and then she whispered," You can pass the letter for me..." She then half pushed Joyce to go with Jayden and Sherly.

"Then... I'll go with them kay? You must rest well..." Joyce felt guilty and kept on looking back at Lily while walking out of the room being half-dragged by Sherly.

"Yes yes yes... Go! You are like a mother hen... Don't worry. I'll be good.." Lily grinned. She expected Joyce to help her with the letter today. She felt especially lucky after the doctor told them the good news so she wanted Joyce to give the letter soon and hopefully the good luck continued on.

"Bye.. bye..." Joyce reluctantly left with Jayden and Sherly.

Joyce waited until they almost reached her place before finally opened her mouth. "Sherly, can I have a moment with Jay?" She asked Sherly...

Wriggling her eyebrows and smiling knowingly, Sherly nodded and left them to go to the playground to wait for Jay.

Joyce then looked at Jayden nervously, "Jay, I uuhh.... have something to give you..." Joyce then opened her bag and fumbled to find Lily's letter. When she found the letter, she quickly took it out and gave to Jayden.

"What is this?" Jayden asked confusedly. "Did you write a love letter for me?" Jayden teased her not knowing that he was so close to the truth.

"Uh... please don't get angry and listen to me first. It's the letter Lily has written for you. She asked me to give to you..." Joyce replied uneasily.

"What!!! What the hell are you trying to do!" Jayden roared.

She jumped because she was surprised at Jayden's sudden outburst, she stuttered while explaining helplessly..

"I uh... went to the hospital yesterday and Lily was very adamant about this... She wish that I can help her to pass you this letter since she is scared that you'll rejected her right away and would be embarassingg.. So she begged me to do it for her."

She tried to hold his arm but Jay pulled his hand away. He was hurt that Joyce could do something like that. He felt like she was betraying his feeling for her and their feeling for each other.

When Jayden pulled his hand away, Joyce felt like crying. She tried to hold in her tears...

"How could....." Jayden tried to say something to Joyce but he was so hurt that he had a hard time saying it...

" How could you.... Joyce. When you tried the last time I already made it clear to you. How can you do it again???? Are you happy if I choose to be with her?"

"It's not like that...." Joyce whispered...

"I am so disappointed in you Joyce..." Jayden shook his head, thrusted the letter back to Joyce's hand and left her.

Finally, her tears dropped.
