5 Chapter 5: the duet

I just remember standing there in shock as I looked down and read the name of who it was going to be for my duet partner. I felt like a princess going to the ball to meet her Prince Charming. No kidding! I really feel like this could be the beginning of forming something together or at least the beginning of my fairytale fantasy actually taking place for me to truly embrace every moment of it. That night I dreamed a dream of me being a princess wearing a long blue royal dress of me dancing with my Prince Charming in his fancy golden suit and it was of course Blaine Anderson who played that role. I wake up the next morning wishing that my dream was real and had actually was happening. Now today would be the day me and my Prince Charming would meet in my fantasy ball { AKA the school auditorium in reality} to get started on our duet and I really was now going to sing with Blaine Anderson and what an honor this was going to be.

4:00 pm school auditorium

"Hey," he said with this beautiful and extremely mesmerizing voice I could never get tired of hearing.

" Hey duet partner It's very nice to meet you, I'm excited to perform with you, it's such a honor to be singing a duet with the best member of the Warblers!" I say trying to hide my subconscious from showing any sign of me liking him, no correct that, loving him with all my heart staring perfectly into what makes him perfect!

" Wow that's so kind you sing amazing too and I'm happy that the first person I'm singing here with is someone that is extremely talented and has the whole package of making it on broadway." He says

My face started to blushing and it was impossible to stop it. Omg! I just can't! He's so amazing, so kind, so my teenage dream!

We spent a whole hour introducing ourselves and getting to know each other. We discussed our similarities in both liking the kickass rock band Queen with their killer rock beat and we discussed our dreams of becoming broadway stars living out our dreams in NYC. We discussed so much things and had so much in common it felt like we were each looking at a reflection of ourselves in a mirror.

Not only was he extremely charming, charismatic,attractive, and talented, he also has such a good sense of humor to him, a sweet- good boy natural sense, and he also was a really really good listener. My teenage dream was 100 percent my perfect match.

Here we are both singing our favorite jam Somebody to Love by our favorite band Queen for our duet song for the week. It was so amazing the duet and the way we sing together. His voice so angelic, so smooth, so perfect. The way he hits his low F music notes, The way I hit my high F music notes both make up the perfection of this duet by the way we both compliment each other's voices so good. It was a duet match made in heaven because it was that good. Everything aligned perfectly on my dream boyfriend checklist for the way he matches it and there is no one who would ever be better for me than him!

"Omg that was really good we compliment each other's voices so well and this song really brings out the best in our voices together!" He says

" yes we really were amazing together I could totally see us winning that duet and performing at Regionals together." I say

"Definitely you really are a kind, free-spirited person on top of being a great singer! I'm happy the first person I met here was you!" He says.

I knew what I was about to do that I might regret later but I couldn't help it. It felt like a magnet kept pulling me towards him and my lips could not resist that pull. The next second I felt my lips on his lips and my hands wrap around his face. I really really really could not resist this. I had just kissed my teenage dream!
