3 Noticeable

Not often does Aria think she would be spending her Saturdays in her room eating ramen and coding. Some how it was fun to her and she enjoyed it greatly. Although she loved the solitude sometimes she wished for a little more spice in her life.

Her friends rarely liked to hang out and usually they didn't enjoy the same things she did. So she is either always working or being by herself on her free time.

Today felt different though. The sun was shining bright and for once in many months Aria actually felt a sense of happiness. She was now able to form a slight smirk across her lips, not quite a smile just yet, but close enough for her. She felt wonderful and was delighted to see one of her friends texted her.

Kennie- 'Hey Aria, you want to come to the amusement park with me and Jay today?'

Aria-'Yeah that sounds like fun! What time?'

Kennie-'We were planning for 3..'

Aria loved a message

Aria got up from her bed and checked her phone. It's already 2:00 and she hasn't even started to get dressed yet. She quickly goes to her bathroom and washes up before choosing her outfit.

"It's gotta be cute Aria! Try not to look like too much of a bomb..."

Since it is starting to get chilly out, Aria decides to go with an oversized orange hoody and black leggings. She pairs it with her slip on black vans and a mini see through backpack. She takes her hair out of her scarf and flat irons it. She does her baby hairs and finishes her look with some lip gloss.

"Yup, not too much of a bomb."

"Bye momma, bye dad I'll see you when I get back." She yells out before she leaves the house.

When Aria arrives at the fair she sees her friend Kennie standing at the entrance looking for her. She jogs up to Kennie and gives her a hug. She turns around to look for Jay and sees him buying tickets. Then she notices the boy he's talking to, Ares.

"I know I didn't tell you, but I thought you probably weren't going to come if I did." Kennie says, noticing Aria starring at the boy.

Jay walks over with Ares and hands the girls their tickets. When they all get into the park Kennie instantly wants to go to a roller coaster. Aria mentally slaps herself for putting her self in this predicament. She hates roller coasters and pretty much anything that will scare the crap out of her.

"Uh yeah I'll sit out on this one, you all enjoy though." Aria tells them as she looks for a good place to sit and wait.

"Why did you come if you weren't going to be any fun?" Kennie asks before grabbing her boyfriend's hand and heading in the direction of the coaster. Ares stays behind with Aria and helps her find a seat.

"Who are you?" He asks suddenly.

Aria looks at the boy and then looks away. She feels uncomfortable and slightly irritated by the fact that he's with her. She's afraid Nicolas could be lurking around any corner and will find her there with him. She's also afraid of her feelings towards him and how they could possibles grow.

"I am Aria. You should know that Ares."

"You know that's not what I meant." He says while scooting closer to her. Aria almost instantly scoots in the opposite direction.

"Sorry," He says in response. "I want to get to know you that's all. You're a beautiful girl and you've been on my mind for awhile now I just figured it meant something."

"Like what?"

"Like we should give each other a try."

The amusement park becomes more fun the longer the group stays. Aria even gets on a ride with Ares. She passes out of course, but that defeats the point. They all take pictures and eat funnel cake. Almost feeling like children again.

The night sky comes forth as time gets later. They look for something to end the night. A ride that can close out all of the fun. Then Jay sees it. The iconic Ferris wheel. Kennie smiles at her boyfriend and agrees to the idea. Ares looks at Aria questionably and Aria nods shyly.

When they get on it's only two to a seat. Ares sits close to Aria as they get locked up into the ride. Soon they slowly start to make their way to the top. Aria having a slight fear of heights begins to breath heavily. Suddenly the ride jolts forwards and stops near the top of the wheel.

Aria looks around in a panic not knowing what to do.

"Are we stuck!" She asks

"I think so, but it's ok baby they'll get us down. Hey you alright?" Ares asks with concern.

Aria starts to shake and that's when Ares goes in for a hug. He holds her tight and rocks her side to side softly. She's tense in his arms for awhile, not liking the feeling of a man touching her. The smell of his cologne mixed with the genteelness of his touch causes her too calm down. After a few minutes he lets go of her and the ride starts back up.

Aria looks away from him and tries to scoot away, but Ares places one of his hands on her cheek. He soft cherishes it before leaning in to connect his lips with hers. She pulls away before he could, and then she looks down.

"I'm sorry." She says softly. The ride finally gets them to the bottom and they exit as employees apologized for the inconvenience.

They all meet back up at the entrance of the park and say their goodbyes. Once Aria gets back to the car she locks the doors and places her head on the steering wheel.

"Dang it Aria why are you always so awkward!"

She then looks up ready to turn on her car and notices something in her rear view mirror. Nicolas is starring daggers in her. She quickly looks behind her to see where he is, but there isn't anyone there. She turns on her car and heads home, confused and worried from the events that took place tonight.
