Christabelle seems to have everything figured out for her in her life and everything was in place. Well, not until she got a call from home that changed everything.
Her twin sister, the Chosen is dead. Now Christabelle must return home to replace her sister as a Chosen and compete with Fourty-nine other Ladies for position of Crown Princess. Palace life is the last thing Christabelle is cut out for, she's been a free spirit all her life. With no ability to obey rules or do only what she's told to do, Christabelle finds herself in the palace where it is easier to die than live.
For her, it would be better to fight with enemies than win the Crown Prince's heart, yet it is everything her heart wants.

But Christabelle offers more. She offers everything the Selection or Chosen' shouldn't. She offers even eyes that are able to penetrate into his mask and look deep into his soul. She causes a stiring in him. Emotions even he didn't belong he has comes soaring to life.
Without his awareness, he finds himself in a tango. Keep the love he has and have known for years, or seize everything the wild untamed Lady of Velmount offers?.
