1 NICE TO MEET YOU

"Good morning, class. How was your summer?" the teacher asked the whole class. I looked around and saw the excited faces of my classmates. I tried to keep my attention to what the teacher was saying next but my eyes saw something by the window. I stared at it, but still can comprehend what it is. It seems like it's shining. I was only brought out of my trance when I heard my name being called.

"Miri Sage?" the teacher called out.

"Present, Miss." I answered absent-mindedly.

"Care to share to the class how your summer vacation was?" she asked, "Remember, you can't make something up, the detectors will know."

Hope School is really different, it has lie detectors installed in every classroom, as to 'promote' truthfulness. This school accept students that is considered unacceptable by other schools.

"I..." I trailed off, not knowing what to say. The teacher gave me an encouraging look.

I gulped then removed the buttons of my blouse. The whole class gulped in shocked. By my heart is a black mark that seems to have a life of itself.

"A spirit stem," the teacher breathlessly uttered.

"I've been evicted. My name is Miri Sage, and I've been this body's occupant for the last 2 months. I've spent my summer vacation trying to get accustomed to this body. Nice to meet you." I told them, with a sad expression on my face, but a dangerous glint in my eyes.
