7 Detective work

As the case continued all of us took on a sense of normalcy as Dan got the boys an office next to ours, the conference room was made available for just our two groups. So as to allow us the freedom to discuss the case and compare information in privacy and away from curious eyes. We finally got a break in the case and Dan decided to mix us up, Dan had received a random phone call in his office, the caller only said that a man by the name of Mark Yien Tuan should be a person of interest to us along with a girl named Kim Dahyun. Dan then decided to send Namjoon and Jimin with Jayde and I to follow Mark, he then sent Taehyung and Yoongi with Mimi and Nikki to talk with Dahyun. Lastly Tessie, Galaxy, Jungkook, Hoseok and Jin was to stay back at the precinct to determine from the evidence we already have to whatever we may receive as to how Mark and Dahyun are connected to the case and to each other. Jimin, Jayde, Namjoon and I left the precinct and drove to the address we received for this individual Mark's where abouts.

As we arrived at the location it was evident that the building was a gentleman's club, but there was no name on the building and while it was built in modern architecture the outside was made to look weathered and aged. Unless you knew the club was there, the building's facade gave the impression of being an abandoned or rarely used building. "Was this building always here?" Namjoon asked, Jayde shrugged her shoulders and just said, "Not sure.", "Then we need to find out." Jimin stated. We drove over to a diner that stood opposite the club, parked and walked in, Jimin gently grabbed my hand and guided me to the counter where he ordered coffee and sandwiches for all of us. Jayde tried to follow us but Namjoon gently guided her to a table at the back of the diner, "Jimin isn't kidnapping her, he's just trying to look inconspicuous." he whispered to Jayde, Jimin never let go of my hand as he began talking to the waitress who took our order. He was smiling a lot and rubbing his thumb gently over my knuckles and introduced me as his girlfriend.

I had to keep looking at random items to keep myself from rolling my eyes, I smiled and played along as this waitress was very talkative about the area as she grew up in this part of the city. She was very excited to talk about her hometown to tourists, soon our order was completed and we took it to Namjoon and Jayde. Jimin began explaining all that the young waitress told us to the other two, we sat in the diner all afternoon until Mark Tuan exited the club with young escort on his arm, Jayde was the first to notice and sat up. "There he is." she said indicating to the gentleman entering a Koenigsegg CCXR Trevita, "Well at least he loves to stand out." I said as we made our way out of the diner. Following Mark was easy due to the car he drove, but somehow it felt off to me, he pulled into a driveway that felt weirdly familiar to me, but I couldn't figure out why. The four of us sat in the car about three houses before the house Mark entered with the escort, we waited until it was almost eleven pm as the lights in the house all went off and no one exited the house, at least not from the front door.

Namjoon and Jimin decided to check around the house and the neighbouring houses, they left Jayde and I in the car together "Is touching a thing with your ex and friends?" Jayde asked, I looked at her confused. "If he tries to fix my hair one more time or accidentally bounces into me again I will break his fingers every single one of them." she said with a stern look, I laughed. "Are we talking about Namjoon?" I asked between laughs, Jayde looked at me, very much not amused, "Sorry." I told her, "Namjoon is showing interest, well isn't he brave." I said looking at an upset Jayde. I shook my head very much amused at the situation, the two boys soon returned to the car, "There is something going on in that house." Namjoon stated "But we won't find out anything tonight." Jimin added as he drove us back to the precinct. Namjoon retrieved his car and offered to drop Jayde home as the other girls already left the precinct and went home. Jimin decided to drop me home and since I had limited options I couldn't argue.

Jayde and Namjoon drove off and then Jimin and I drove out behind them in the opposite direction, my phone vibrated as I had it on silent, I answered and Minseok was on the other end. "I'm sorry babe I won't be home until early in the morning. My dad is holding an important meeting and I have to be there." he said in an apologetic tone, "It's okay Minseok, I'm now heading home." I answered him. "Be sure to eat before you go to bed, you know how you neglect yourself when you are tired." Minseok said, I chuckled quietly "I will." I said with a smile on my face, "Love you Simone." he said, "Love you too." I replied before hanging up. When I hung up I then realized we weren't driving towards my apartment, "Jimin where are we?" I asked defensively, Jimin looked at me, "Ensuring you eat something, I do remember how you like to miss meals when you are tired and overworked." he said in a matter of fact tone. Jimin drove into the driveway of a grand house, I sighed and exited the car when Jimin came to a stop at the end of the driveway.
