Making Amends

Resting his elbows over the counter, Kai sighed, mindlessly adding scoop after scoop of sugar to his coffee. They had texted to make sure one another were safe, but Jinn had been keeping his distance for the last couple days and it was making Kai crazy. Letting out another sigh, Kai began to add another scoop of sugar to his coffee, but Saya grabbed his wrist.

"Babe, I think your coffee is sweet enough.", said Saya.

"…", not saying anything, Kai closed up the container of sugar and began mixing his coffee.

"I am so sorry about Rob, if I had of known he was serious about you, I wouldn't have asked him to do anything for me.", Saya apologized.

"It's not your fault, I wasn't supposed to be here anyway, besides it's not entirely his fault.", said Kai, sipping his coffee.

"It's not about you being here or not Kai, you live here. You can come and go when you please, not to mention the fact that he promised me he wouldn't bother you."

"Even so, my stupidity has created a wedge in between Jinn and I."

"He's just scared babe, you know how crazy he gets when he's afraid of losing you.", said Saya, sipping her own coffee.

"Yes, I know.", Kai said softly, letting out another sigh.

"Do you have any idea who would have sent those pictures to Jinn? Anybody you know of that would want to separate you two?", Saya asked.

Raising his eyes toward the ceiling, Kai thought a minute before sucking his lips inward, "Honestly, there are a few people that would rather us not be together."

"A few people? Ugh, do you think it could be Jinn's Mom?", Saya asked.

"No, it's definitely not her, if I could just look at Jinn's phone, I might be able to find out who it came from."

"When will you two meet? It's been a few days now.", said Saya, shaking her head before she sipped her coffee again.

"Well, I have to go back to work tomorrow, so I'll see him then. Ugh! Saya help me, how do I make this up to him?", Kai whined, grabbing his best friend's hand and Saya let out a cute giggle.

"Honestly Kai, you have some reassuring to do, because now he'll be worried about you flirting with other men because it feels nice.", said Saya.

"But that's not something I do often, only when the opportunity presents itself….", Kai said awkwardly, realizing that, that was a stupid thing to say.

"Exactly, now listen. I don't know Jinn very well, but what I do know is that he loves you very much. You just have to let him know that he's got nothing to worry about, he's got nothing to worry about right Kai?", said Saya raising a brow and playfully balling her little fist like she was going to punch her best friend.

Raising his hands up like he was surrendering, Kai let out a cute giggle, "I swear, I will behave!", he said firmly.

"You better!", said Saya, lowering her hand and picking up her cup of coffee for a sip. "But any who, I don't think you should wait until you go back to work on Thursday to talk to him."

"But I'm kinda scared he won't want to see me.", Kai whined.

"Sir please! That man is head over hills for you! Jinn is just taking time get his head straight, I'm sure he misses you, go see your man when he gets off of work!", Saya scolded.

"Fine, fine! I'll go!", said Kai finishing his cup of coffee, leaving the kitchen and making his way upstairs to shower. As he had stated, he was a bit nervous to see Jinn, but Saya was right, it most likely wasn't a good idea to wait until he went back to work.

Keeping himself busy most of the time, the day had gone by rather fast and now Jinn was on his way home from work. "Fuck.", he cursed under his breath and after letting out a sigh. Jinn wanted to stop by to see Kai, but he wasn't sure if he should. Like always, he felt that he had overreacted and made a fool of himself. Shaking his head, Jinn let out a sigh, deciding that he would just go home for now.

Getting off of the elevator, Jinn silently sighed to himself as he walked, holding his head low, why did Kai make him so damn emotional?

"Heya stranger.", said a familiar voice. Suddenly coming to a halt, Jinn snapped his head up and his eyes widened. Standing there in his usual all black attire with his hands behind his back was Kai. Taking a deep breath and letting it out softly, Jinn continued down the hall, his gaze fixated on his boyfriend the entire time. Like always, with his bowlegs and pigeon-toed feet, Kai was just as cute as he could be, but he wore a barely noticeable pout, Jinn could most certainly tell that he was nervous.

After Jinn had gotten to his door, for a moment he stood there quietly, his piercing blue eyes intense.

"Jinn…"

"Kai…", the two began to talk at the same time, but both of them instantly quieted to let the other continue.

"Go ahead.", Kai said softly, giving a small smile while he lowered his head, but suddenly a finger touched his chin, raising his head. Looking up to see that same dimple revealing, reassuring smile on Jinn's face, Kai's nerves eased, looks like Saya was right.

"Come in.", said Jinn as he turned to unlock the door to the apartment.

"…", not saying anything, with a small smile still on his lips, Kai followed Jinn inside. After closing the door, Kai turned around and was unexpectedly pulled into a deep embrace as Jinn's strong arms squeezed him tight.

"Jinn I…", Kai began to say, but Jinn shushed him.

"I'm sorry that I overreacted. I hate that I always get that way, it's just that I'm…I'm afraid of...", Jinn paused, sounding as if he was too terrified to even speak the words.

"You get a pass this time. As I've said, I've realized how that must have looked to you, but you don't have to worry. I'm not going anywhere babe, I promise.", said Kai.

"I missed you.", said Jinn as he buried his head in the nape of Kai's neck, placing gentle kisses on his collarbone.

"I missed you more.", Kai responded, and Jinn lifted his head, with a smirk present on his face before leaning down to kiss Kai on the lips.

"Like that's even possible.", said Jinn as he released Kai from his grip.

"Have you eaten? Want to order out?", Jinn asked as he made his way toward his bedroom and Kai followed behind him.

"I haven't had dinner yet, no. What do you feel like?", said Kai, kicking off his sneakers and placing himself Indian style on Jinn's bed.

"Hmm, let me think about it.", said Jinn as he began to undress out of his work clothes, unbuttoning his shirt and unfastening his slacks. While Jinn stripped down, Kai paid close attention, a smirk on his handsome yet baby face as his eyes traced his lover's body from head to toe.

"Quit staring at me like that, you're making me feel awkward.", said Jinn with a smirk on his face, suddenly bringing Kai back to reality.

"Well, I haven't seen you for a few days, I have to make up for it.", Kai teased, that same eye squinting smile on his face.

Seeing Kai's smile made Jinn's heart flutter and he couldn't help, but to smile himself as he charged over onto the bed, throwing himself on top of Kai. Letting out a loud shriek at first, Kai began cackle as Jinn placed pressured kisses all over his neck, purposely tickling his sensitive neck.

"Okay, okay! I won't stare at you!", Kai yelled, only able to get his words out in between his laughter. Pulling his lips away with a smile, Jinn then leaned down and placed another kiss on Kai's lips.

"I love you babe.", he said softly before laying his head on Kai's chest.

"I love you too.", said Kai wrapping his arms around Jinn. "Oh babe, I know everything is behind us now, but can I see your phone? I want to find out who it was that sent you those pictures.", Kai continued.

Lifting his head up, Jinn furrowed his brows, "just leave it be babe."

"Why? It doesn't bother you that someone's been following me around?", Kai asked.

"It's probably my Mother Kai.", said Jinn, rolling his eyes as he got up off of Kai to put on some sweatpants.

"It's not your Mother!", Kai said firmly as he shot up from the mattress. Quickly turning around, Jinn raised a brow.

"Why are you so sure? Because she talked with you and invited you to our next family dinner? You don't know my Mother babe; she's done this before with Jenna's ex-fiancé. This is her other method, she calls herself being friendly, meanwhile she'll be doing anything she can to break us up.", said Jinn making his way out of the room and Kai hopped off of the bed, quickening his steps to catch up with his boyfriend.

"I understand that, I just really don't think tha…", Kai continued, but Jinn interjected.

"I think I might want Chinese food tonight; I could go for a house special egg foo young."

"Yeah, that does sound good, but if you could just let me see your phone, I might be able to at least see what device it came fro…"

"Babe, just let it be!", Jinn suddenly said firmly as he turned around, placing both his hands on either side of Kai's arms.

"…", with a pout Kai sighed.

"Kai, I promise everything is fine, just let this play out okay?", said Jinn with a small smile.

"Okay.", Kai said grudgingly, rolling his eyes.

"Great, now lets order, I'm hungry as fuck.", said Jinn placing a kiss on Kai's forehead before he continued to the kitchen. Letting out a sigh, Kai slowly dragged his pigeon-toed feet down the hall. Even though Jinn was sure that it was his Mother who was behind the photos, Kai had to keep his mouth shut, he couldn't exactly explain the reason why he knew it wasn't her.
