Chapter 6

When MinYue saw Chen approaching the group he felt this urge to run to her side and save her. He didn't even hear what Elizabeth had said. He just picked up the glass and downed the whole thing, hoping it would give him some "Liquid courage" as people say. He then immediately turned and headed downstairs.

At the same exact time MinYue was heading down the stairs Chen was standing in front Cera, and opened is mouth to speak, "Cera, may I have this dance? I know what I did earlier was wrong. I want to make it up to you."

Cera was about to open her mouth to decline politely in front of her friends when MinYue came out of nowhere and dragged her to the dance floor. She didn't know who it was from the backside, but when he turned around to wrap his arm around her to initiate the dance she recognized him, "MinYue Park?! What are you doing?"

"Dancing."

His short response angered her, but if she left now everyone would notice and question her. She really wasn't in the mood to explain anything to anyone. She followed his lead, and let him continue to dance, "Do you feel obligated to save me every time you think I am in danger? I can handle it myself. I don't need a knight in shinning armor!" she hissed out in a low tone so the other dancing couples couldn't hear her.

"I am no knight."

Another short answer. She was screaming internally. He must of noticed, because he now was sporting a devilishly handsome smile that caught her off guard. Her eyes widened, and then she glared at him, "Then what do you want with me? Ever since you saw me you have been starring at me. Don't think I didn't notice." He didn't answer, which made her furious, "MinYue!" She tapped her hand on his shoulder as she breathed out his name in anger.

He looked deep into her pale blue eyes that matched her dress with an intense stare she had never seen before in a man. She felt as if he was looking deep into her soul. It made her shiver. 'What does this man want with me? Why won't he answer my question!' As she was thinking this she found herself examining his facial features. 'Not bad, he is actually quite good looking.'

Leo and Ming-Fa weren't to far from where MinYue was earlier. They both noticed Elizabeth walk up to him, and shortly after MinYue practically running down the stairs. They were both surprised by his actions. When he dragged Cera out to the dance floor Leo's eyes widened, but Ming-Fa was smiling, "I think my son just made his intentions towards your daughter very clear just now."

Leo turned to Ming-Fa and nodded, "I can see that now. You mentioned it a few minutes ago, but I had a hard time believing it. He is 28, right? 7 years older than Cera."

Leo's words made Ming-Fa blink several times, but then he spoke calmly, "Age is just a number, when it comes to love that doesn't matter."

Leo smiled, "True, I will talk with Jamie."

"Let me know when you get the good news." Ming-Fa says as he prepares to head to his wife's side to inform her about his plan with Leo.
