Chapter 59

There was no way in hell he was going to let her run away, he picked up his phone off the coffee table and dialed a number he hasn't in a while. After two rings the person on the other end picked up: "It's been a while Mr. Lang. How can I help you?"

"I need you to find someone for me?"

"Name, and phone number."

"Mary Sun. Her phone is turned off right now, so that won't work."

"Just give it to me anyways."

"4.1.4.7.5.6.1.2.5.6."

"I will call you when I found her." before Tom could respond the call was ended, and he dropped his phone onto the couch and raised his arm up and rested it over his eyes.

"Mary, why did you run?"

Lisa was sitting on one of her barstools in the kitchen while Mary was across from her, "Hey Mary?"

"Yeah?"

"Are you going to tell me what's going on now?"

"Can I stay here for the night? I am planning on contacting MinYue and using my remaining vacation days to travel all of Erde."

"Yeah, you're more than welcome to stay here, but why the sudden urge to travel?"

Mary lifted her glass of water, and took a sip. She looked deep into Lisa's eyes before setting her glass down, it made a small clinking noise as it came in contact with the coaster, "I may have had too much to drink last night and forced myself on one of my coworkers who lives on the same floor as me." Lisa's eyes flew open, and then she blinked several times. She didn't know what to say or think, but then Mary continued to talk, "I left Tom's place this morning before he woke up, and I am to afraid to see him again. I am ashamed of myself."

Lisa caught the man's name, and tried to recall who he was in her brother-in-law's company. "Mary, you can't hide from him forever. You work together, and live in the same building."

Mary let out a large sigh, "I know, but I am not ready to face him. I just….I just need time. I forced myself on him, and I need to figure out what I am going to do from here on out. I plan on apologizing to him, but I don't have the courage right now."

Lisa looked down at her belly, and rubbed it. 'You're auntie sure is a silly one isn't she. I hope she won't regret this decision.' She then looked back up at her best friend that she has known for years, "Alright, as long as you know you need to talk to him."

"Thank you Lisa." Mary lowered her head a bit, and Lisa smiled at her.

"Just don't wait to long." she wanted to add "Otherwise you might be missing out on being with your one true love." But she didn't know if her words would be right or not, since she herself has not met the man Mary took to bed. She just knew that the man had to be someone amazing in order to grab the attention of Mary Sun.

That night Tom was sitting staring at his call log. He had called her 45 times, and left a least 12 voicemails. Since she still had not powered on her phone the person he called earlier hadn't got back to him on her location. He was running out of ideas. He wanted to just hear her voice, tell her how he felt, and hold her in his arms. She managed to run away after they shared a night of passion together. It was the most memorable night of his life, he had never had someone to have and to hold. He thought he liked Cera at first, but he soon realized that it was just friendship that he wanted from her. Mary on the other hand, he felt drawn to her. Even though he didn't realize it at first since they have worked together for years, but now that he knows that it's love it was to late, she ran away after only one night together.
