Chapter 45

If he thought he had peaceful nights of rest before this night he would be dead wrong. He slept so soundly with her in his arms that night that he didn't wake until when he moved his arm, and couldn't find her. His arms searched around the bed, and his brow creased. He opened his eyes to find himself alone in her large bed. He sat straight up, and looked around the room. A look of confusion flashed across his face before he heard sounds coming from the kitchen. The sweet aroma of freshly brewed coffee entered his nose, and he could tell just from the strong scent of caramel and nuts in the air that it was his favorite brand of coffee, Ospina. The coffee itself cost $120 a pound. It's grown in volcanic ash, and the trees take anywhere from 3 to 5 years to produce the coffee cherries. He smiled and climbed out of bed, and made his way to the kitchen.

"You said that you wanted to know more about me, but from what I have seen you know me better than myself." he pulled her into a hug, and kissed her sweet lips.

She stepped back slightly, and fluffed his messy golden hair, "Good morning. Coffee?"

"Mmmmh." after hearing his confirmation she turned around, and grabbed two cups down from the wall cabinet next to the oven. She poured two cups, and handed him one before making her way to a barstool on the other side of the island. "How long have you been up?" he noticed that she had already showered, changed into a pair of jeans, and a white sweater.

"About an hour ago. I stopped at the grocery store to pick up a few things."

"Why didn't you wake me?"

"You looked so peaceful."

He just smiled and made his way towards the stool on her left, and sat down. On the counter in-between them was a tray of fresh cut fruits, two cups of yogurt, and a few different types of nuts. He picked up one of the yogurt cups, and used his spoon to scoop up some of the strawberries to mix in with the yogurt. "I thought we should have a lighter breakfast since we are going to your parents place for dinner. I hope you don't mind?" she tilted her head towards him before turning back to lift up the black coffee mug.

MinYue turned to watch her blow on the steaming hot mug before pressing her lips against the ceramic cup to take a sip. He swallowed the yogurt that he had just placed in his mouth before responding, "I don't mind. Thank you." he spooned another bite into his mouth.

Cera set her cup back down, and picked up a slice of an apple, and placed it into her mouth. Then swiveled her stool to look MinYue in the eyes. His blonde hair glistened in the morning sun, and his gray eyes shinned with warmth as he returned her gaze. Cera continued to look at him until she was done chewing her apple. She used the stool to push herself towards MinYue, and planted a sweet, and tender kiss on his lips. MinYue paused for a second before returning her kiss, he pulled her further into his arms, and deepened the kiss. He could taste a hint of apple, and caramel in her mouth as his tongue explored her mouth. It was a great combo, and he found himself wanting more. They kissed passionately until they were out of breath. He released her lips only to look deep into her baby blues, and knew that in her arms was where he belonged, "I love you, Cera."
