13 Cold Statements!

That day was the day for Dingxiang's school having an outreach programme- Two days and one night at the outskirt area. Early that morning, the students loaded their bags into the bus compartment. As the week was actually a holiday for school, therefore not many students could join the outreach programme. Supposed to be three buses but then only one bus equivalent to 40 students could attend the programme.

The person in charge made a rolled call of their names before they entered the bus, then they all took their seats in the bus.

Dingxiang and Tang Wei decided to sit together in the bus. They actually had been forced to join the programme as their credit hours for their external curriculum not suffice enough to entitle them to get graduate within the time.

Alice at the same time tried to save the seat beside her for Dingxiang. Every eyes were looking at them when the girl offered the seat for him. It was chaos because she never do that to anyone and she was the beautiful girl at the school.

Tang Wei who was suppose to sit with him tried to make an excused to let Dingxiang sit with her. He thought Dingxiang would be thankful to him later.

"Dingxiang, here sit with me."

"I'm sorry Alice, I already promised Tang Wei to sit with him."

Everyone started to listen to their conversations. Nobody would say anything during that time.

Alice looked at Tang Wei and smiled.

"It's okay Dingxiang. I already asked James to sit with me." Said Tang Wei in his grinning face.

James who was about to go to the back was pulled by Tang Wei and pushed him to sit next to him.

James with his blurred expression looking at Tang Wei but then Tang Wei just pretended didn't see anything.

"It settled then." Said Alice and pointed the seat to Dingxiang.

A smiled broke from Dingxiang's face. He started to whisper at her.

"Alice, I'll just sit alone. There are many empty seats at the front." Not even one could hear what he had said. But the ladies were thrilled and got goosebumps watching the short scene between the two of them. At the same time the audiences were starting questioning their wild questions in their hearts- instead of sitting with Alice, Dingxiang went to the front seat next to the bus drive.

"What did he said to her?"

"Why did he sit in front?"

"Is there anything between them?"

There were questions playing in their heart even the boys also wondering why Dingxiang let her sitting alone while she's already offered the seat for him.

"Is this just the trick?"

"Are they going to meet later?"

While Dingxiang tried to sit comfortably, he notice there was a little girl same age with his neighbour was sitting alone behind the bus driver. Wearing a hat and blue dress with her plump skin. She also wearing dark glasses. She looked so cute and adorable.

He just chuckled and shook his head as she reminded him about Kiara the supper power girl. If she wearing the dress she would looked like that he thought to himself.

After everybody was on-board, the bus started its journey. The students were well behave that day as actually they were still feel tired and exhausted due to their two days of cramp classes for everyone before the school holiday. Most of them took the chance to continue their sleep in the bus before they reached their destination for their charity works.

When the bus reached to the ferry, all the students went out to the washroom and some went to enjoy the view outside. It would still take an hour before they reached to the destiny. Their main activity under the programme was to clean the shore under the non-government corporation collaboration with their school.

Dingxiang was standing at the edge of the ferry watching the shore situated far from their chalets. The shore was actually still under civil disputation between their country with the neighbour country. It was one of the political moves to involve students to support their application to acquire the shore.

A girl walked closer to Dingxiang and smiled to him. Her name was Rosita, same class with Alice. She also a year older from him. He gave way for her to stand next to him.

"We are just a tool for the government to achieve their goal. Aren't we?" She started the conversation with her cynical voice.

"Every people have their own agenda and acted accordingly to achieve their goals. Is that what you trying to say?"

Rosita's face changed drastically.

"Are you referring to me?"

"I just commenting on your statement."

"Hmm!"

She left him without looking back.

Dingxiang only raised his shoulders and then he continued enjoying the view before him. The ferry glided on the surface steadily and it was a calmed ambience.

When the ferry reached the next wharf, all the students got into the bus. Suddenly, the students noticed about uninvited passenger inside the bus.
