2 The Gala

As Kai's assistant, Lucas Zhihao, informed him of the days plans he emphasised the fact that tonight was the gala for the Lee family's oldest son, JiaXi, taking charge of the company. All the richest and most successful people from across the world would attend to possibly allign with the family's new head of business. Lucas new Kai hated these formal and boring events, but he could not stress more over the importance of attending the function. Especially this one. As Kai's assistant and best friend he had to be careful when working, he didn't wanna cause a arguement between them.

Kai, who was almost always stuck in a bad mood, actually didn't argue with Lucas, knowing that his bro had date that night and couldn't attend the function with him, Kai decided he would stay for no more than and hour. He even arranged for someone to phone him so that he had an excuse to leave. The plan could not be more brilliant. He intended to mingle with JiaXi for about 10 to 20 minutes before leaving to the bathroom for about 5 minutes. He would take a stroll through hotel and then, when he got the planned phone call, he would talk for about 15 minutes before seemingly being forced to attend an emergency meeting with another share holder. It was full proof, and no one would dare question him. He smiled at own genius. This only made Lucas more worried.

Raina woke up with the a start to her Friday morning, when one of her newly hired maids spilt boiling hot coffee all over her Pajamas. Of course she wasn't going to let this spoil her good mood. After she disposed of the stupid idiot of a maid she quickly took a shower and enjoyed as the water eased slightly burnt area on her lower abdomen where the coffee had spilt. After the shower she dressed in a black dress with a white collar and seamed white end with her black old-school vans. She dressed to kill as usual, no matter what she wore she was gorgeous. She quickly headed downstairs to the second floor where her personal assistant was waiting for her.

"Morning Gray", Raina smiled, her dimples increasing her cuteness 100 fold.

"Someone's in a good mood", he responded with a laugh " I thought I would have a hard morning hearing what you did the poor maid".

Raina recalled the idiot that spilt coffee on her this morning. She scowled a little and replied in a icy cold tone, "mistake are not tolerated, especially one of this manner". Gray laughed again. He was the only one who didn't flinch or even get scared when Raina was angry, this is why he is her personal assistant.

" Anyway, today we have been formally invited to the Lee family gala", Gray informed in an excited voice. Raina rolled her eyes. She couldn't care less if she was invited or not, she was already going. After all how could she miss a Masquerade. It was the perfect opportunity to get the renowned Sol diamond that is kept in the venue of the gala. Worth 10 billion euros she would sell it on the black market and use it as capital for Kung group. The plan was flawless. While waiting for the chauffeur to bring her car to her, she got a phone call from her grandpa.

"Hello, granpa". She immediately sugar coated her voice.

"My dearest grandchild, grandpa needs a favor from you".

Grandpa Feng wasn't very old but he was extremely powerful. He worked for the military and held a rank of high power. Although he knew Raina was in charge of a large company, he did not know that she was also the head of a large gang. She kept this a secret for the sake of her fortune.

"Anything for you grandpa", once again her voice was sweet as sugar.

" You see grandpa hopes you will be attending the gala tonight with him, you know we are close friends of the Lee family".

Raina knew what this was about. Grandpa Feng had been pairing her with Lee JiaXi for a long time.
