69 C69: Mother's pleas

Uncle and auntie Wang has also heard of the ongoing rumours and was extremely worried about their son. They saw how depressed Adrian was when Violet passed away at first and how hard is it for him to walk out of sorrow, they are afraid that Adrian will once again crumble when this sad past was revealed to the public.

Adrian comes back home after a long day of work. He was paled and extremely down. His clueless son ran to him as usual.

"Daddy is alright, daddy is just tired. Go play with grandma and grandpa first." Adrian forced a smile for his son.

Just then, auntie and uncle Wang down to the living room.

"Son, are you alright? We have heard about the ongoing rumours. Don't take it too hard, if you are tired you can stop to take a rest." uncle Wang showed concern to Adrian.

"Mum, Dad, I am alright. Justin is helping me look into this matter. It will be solved quickly. I will not fall, I still have my son and the company. Rest assure. I a little tired do I will go back to my room first." Adrian told his parents.

"Ok, leave Jayden to us."

Gina was very worried and apologetic to both Justin and Gina. She has. cased them a lot of trouble. She was puzzled who is the culprit behind it. As she was in deep thoughts, a phone call came. It was from Mrs Xia and she picked up.

"Meet me at the floral cafe at 3 pm. You will regret if you don't turn up." Mrs Xia hung up before Gina response.

Gina hesitates if she should go to meet Mrs Xia but she decided to go in the end as Mrs Xia seems to have to tell her something important. Gina went to meet Mrs Xia at 3 pm without informing anyone.

"Good afternoon Mrs Xia is there something you want to tell me?"

"Take a seat first. Take this and leave my son. You can fill any about as long as it is not too much." Mrs Xia did not give Gina an envelope of cash like she previously did but instead, she gave her a blank cheque.

"Mrs Xia, I will not....." Gina gave the cheque back to Mrs Xia.

"Let me finish before you decide on anything. Don't you find it weird that a secret kept for so long is suddenly exposed? If you did not turn up for the banquet that day, Adrian Wang will not discard the Xia corporation away. If Adrian Wang did not side with you on that day, his past will not get dig out. It is all because of you. Now the Xia corporation is in a huge crisis, the Fangs will help us once Justin get engaged to Megan and they will help us. If you really love him, you will sacrifice for him right." Mrs Xia said calmly to Gina without any hostility.

Gina remained in silence for a period of time before she spoke up.

"Take back this money, I will not accept it but I will break up with him and leave, I promise but I need some time," Gina said without any expression.

"Ok but make it fast. The Xia corporation cannot hold on for too long. You have to keep your promise." Mrs Xia left after she got a confirmation from Gina.

After Mrs Xia left, Gina broke down and cried bitterly, she has to be heartless for the one she loves and her 'brother'. Her heart aches when she thought how much Justin will hurt when she leaves him.
