Invitation

Lu Weiwei carefully knitted the scarf while humming to her favorite ballads. When she was having a good day, like now, she would hum happily while knitting or baking.

The housekeepers on standby were used to Miss Lu's mood swings. When she has bad days, she would lock herself in the room and work without sleeping till the next morning. Today, they noticed she was about to finish the scarf she's been knitting for the past few weeks.

A housekeeper placed a cup of tea on the coffee table and smiled at her. "Miss Lu, have some tea before you finish."

Weiwei cheerfully looked up. "No, I must finish before Ah Jie comes home. I want to surprise him."

Not long after that, a car pulled over in front of the mansion. Liu Haojie is home. Even though

Weiwei and Haojie have engaged not long ago, both of them decide to stay together. So, they bought a mansion under their name and moved in.

Haojie stepped in the mansion, the housekeepers greeted him. He looked around and saw no sight of his fiancee. He looked at the housekeeper next to him and asked, "Where is she?"

The housekeeper just smiled and bowed. Haojie noticed what that smile meant.

He handed his coat to the housekeeper and walked upstairs to look for Weiwei. When he reached the bedroom door, he could clearly hear footsteps from inside.

Haojie smiled at his fiancee's movement. She was trying to surprise him, but she was so obvious. He walked into the room and when he near the bed. As expected, she came from behind and felt a warm feeling around his neck. He looked at the beige scarf around him and smiled.

"Do you like it? You knew I was coming, didn't you?" Weiwei turned him around.

Haojie entangled his arms around her waist and pulled her closer. "No, I didn't. I sure was surprised because of the scarf.". He kissed her nose and thanked her.

After a few more minutes of flirting, they sat down on the bed and started discussing each other's day.

"Weren't you surprised that Xiao Yang suddenly will be working for a corporation? I bet that friend of hers, Yong Zixuan, signed her up of this."

"Well, it's not a bad idea, darling. It might help Qinyang." Haojie pulled Weiwei from behind and hugged her waist.

"I know, I'm just worried. What if she breaks down like that time?" Wei Wei sighed.

He leaned and rested his chin over her shoulder. "Let's trust her. She is stronger than you think"

"Hmm.."

"Speaking of which, she is applying for Lee Corporation. It's a good place to start. I heard the head of the company is Mr. Lee's son, he is young. The last time both of us had a collaboration with the Lee family, Mr. Lee is still the head. I wonder what kind of person is his son." Haojie pondered.

Weiwei nodded in agreement. "Yes, since his son stepped up, Lee Corporation has been expanding its business. It makes me want to work harder."

Haojie couldn't agree more.

Weiwei then had an idea. "Let's invite Mr. Lee and his son to the party to show our gratitude for the collaboration the last time."

"My wife is so smart."

Weiwei laughed. "You really can't wait 'til the day we say our vows."

The two of them continued to flirt until their eyes closed.

Fengyuan knocked on the door before entering. Upon opening it, he saw Junting massaging his tired eyes while reading through important documents. Feng Yuan let out a light cough. "Junting, are you alright? You should rest."

"I will. Soon. What did you come here for?" Junting said while placing down the document.

Fengyuan showed him the iPad in his hand. "You've heard about the Saints Fund Organization, right?"

"The one that raises funds for those in need?" He raised his eyebrows.

Fengyuan nodded. "They've invited you and your father to their auction and party. Coincidentally, it is the day before the interview and it's also in S city. Do you want to go or should I decline the invitation?"

Junting looked at the email for a moment and said, "I will go, but you are coming with me."

Fengyuan tilted his head and said, "Huh? Why? Don't you want to go with your father? Not anybody can easily get an invitation from them."

"My father will be in the Philippines that week; thus, he can't attend. Explain it in the email. Also, say that if they won't allow you to come with me, then I won't go." Junting picked back up the document he was reading earlier.

Fengyuan gaped at his words. 'Why do I have to come along? The people there are arrogant as hell. I can't stand them. You can go alone right?'

Junting looked at Fengyuan and said, "You're still here?"

Fengyuan woke from his daze and replied, "Ah... no. I will send the reply email now."
