17 Interview

The lady stops and show her to the room " Here we are. Good luck."

" Thank you." she stares at the wooden door. She took a deep breath and open the door.

A row of professional people sitting in a long table, she assumes they are the board of directors. She noticed the atmosphere in the room is so tense and cold for some reason. There was a chair in the middle for her to sit. She greets them first before sitting down. When she sat, she notices someone that caught her eyes.

Zhou Qin Yang's eyes widen 'What is he doing here? He had the same hazel eyes, his face matured a bit, his shoulder got broader. It can't be Lee Jun Ting, right? He has grown so much... he works here? '

However Jun Ting didn't notice her presence, he didn't look up as he was staring at his laptop. The same thing whenever the other interviews came in. He didn't look at them in one glance, this alone made them nervous and mess up the interview because they want to impress him.

Zhou Qin Yang snapped back to reality when she reminds herself that she is in an interview. The woman from a few seats away look at her more like a glare, she smiles " Introduce yourself"

She quickly clears her throat " My name is Zhou Qin Yang. I'm 24 years old."

It was then the directors noticed their boss finally lift his head up. Lee Jun Ting thought he heard wrong when he heard her name. His hazel eyes met her ocean blue eyes. Qin Yang's nervousness somehow disappeared with their lock eyes. Not many people in the room noticed but Song Mina did, the temperature in the room somehow turn warmer. There was a silence after her introduction and she doesn't know why.

One of the directors starts first " What qualifications do you have?" Qin Yang tries her best to keep her face professional, she avoided his gaze and turn her attention somewhere else " I major in Graphic Designing and Multimedia. I have a master's degree. I was a freelancer before."

Song Mina tries to intimidate her with a hard stare and hostile tone " Let's start off with a simple question. What are the steps of your creative process as a graphic designer?"

The question may be simple but the majority cannot answer such an easy question. Zhou Qin Yang as a graphic designer herself, even asks this question herself every day. Every day there is a different answer, after all, every artist does not limit themselves with one thing.

"Before I start designing, I gather as much information as I can to pinpoint the problem I'm solving and determine the client's goals or needs. I then brainstorm ideas, sketch out mockups and start turning this information into compelling visuals. I typically go through two rounds of feedback with my clients before I submit my final work." she answers confidently. Some of the board members nod their heads to her answer.

"Also, I believe every graphic designer should have a specific way of channeling their creativity into designing products that delight customers. Finding out how a candidate generates ideas, works through design roadblocks and creates final deliverables can help you determine how thoughtful and thorough they are, as well as their ability to meet tight deadlines. Basic skills like attention to detail, their focus on planning and time management skills are compulsory to have." she added.

The directors look at her portfolio even Song Mina was amazed by her work. Her style is different from all of the previous people they interview. Song Mina then noticed something in her portfolio " You sign your work under the name of Aurora?"

" Yes. I want to keep my identity. Qin Yang in my name means light. Aurora is is the goddess of Dawn. That is why I used that name." she explains in detail. The other directors already had an impression on her.

Song Mina continues to ask " Are you the famous Aurora? You are her right? The one that design for Furd Corporation and you are the one made Borberry's product outsold Cocci". Her eyes gleam with hope when she asks for Qin Yang's identity. " Yes, you are right Miss Song. That is me." That is two of the big achievement she accomplish when she was a freelancer. Furd Corporation is America's top business market. Gocci's sales that always have been the top of any other product were overtaken in a day that shocked everyone.

The directors were shocked what is a famous person like her doing here even Jun Ting was curious, he even thought it was fate. Zhou Qin Yang may be proud of her achievements but she never shows and always decides to lay low " You are exaggerating, Miss Song. I was just doing my job as they requested. I'm just a normal freelancer."

Since someone like her is here, the directors are not going to back down. The Director of Finance, Doh Seungjae then asks " Miss Zhou, before we let you off. Why do you want to work in this corporation? Is there anything you want from us?"

Of course, there is always an intention behind people like her. They have the talent so they want to request a high salary. Qin Yang smiled " Mr Doh, the thing I want from this corporation is just work experience. As you see in my resume, I don't have work experiences other than freelancing. I don't mind how much you pay me. However, if I do get to work here, I would like to work for 6 months only."

The board of directors was taken aback by her request. Of course, Lee Jun Ting understands what she is saying. If the company likes her work, everyone would agree to keep her. If they dislike her, they don't need to fire her because she would be here for only six months. It's a good bargain.

Just then, the board of directors was stunned to finally hear their boss speak up in an interview " Miss Zhou, you are bold to ask for a request like this directly" If someone with talent asks something bold like this, people will assume they are arrogant. However, her tone never shows signs of any.

" Mr Lee, I merely just answer Mr Doh's question. " Zhou Qin Yang smiles innocently.
