Edie spoke to Andy in a calm, cold tone of firm determination. "You are a senior here at the college? Am I right?" Andy nodded her head. "You should have known there would be a price to pay for spreading gossip and trying to ruin someone's reputation." Edie takes Stuart's hand in hers. "This is my husband, and yes, he paid for me to get in...." she hesitates for a moment. "Maybe I'm not qualified to be in the school, but if you continue to humiliate me, I will see that you never step foot in this school again."

Andy looked at Edie with tears rolling down her cheeks. The last thing she wanted was to be kicked out of school. This was her dream. "I'm sorry," she just broke down and sobbed her heart out.

"I understand why you may have thought those awful things about me, but I tried to explain, and you wouldn't listen to me. I honestly don't know how you can live with yourself." Edie couldn't quite keep her smug satisfaction out of her voice.
