Pain shot through her as Hick's rubbed her head. She started to weep softly, and tears welled in her eyes. Stuart stood outside the car, watching her every movement. His solemn gaze roved over her face, "You're still the same."

Hicks spun around and looked at him, with a look of surprise on her face. As soon as Stuart realized what he just said, he instantly stopped talking. He took a deep breath to gather his thoughts and then said, "I don't know why I said that, let's go."

Stuart wasn't sure where Hick's lived, so he walked behind her as they went up the stairs. It was so dark that they could not see their way along the corridor. The only sound that could be heard was the echo of their footsteps.
