Hidden feelings...

Chapter 15

Yuna's POV

"Does everyone notice that the ice princess has a different aura lately? Her face looks bright and she acts a bit different from before?"

Aika said my classmate sitting beside me.

"Oh! You notice that as well? She is so different from before...and she actually looks a bit different now, I think?"

Romina said from behind.

"Look different? I believe its the glow of someone who is in love!"

Chio added from the front seat.

"Is it really true that she is in love!!!"

"Do you think it's Akira?"

"Everyone saw them last week? They really look so perfect for each other."

"I think they have been dating for a long time now?"

"Do you think Yuna is ok?" ...

"Yuna are you ok? Are you not a bit concern about this? They are all looking this way now."

Mikan said whispering.

Way back then in order for me to avoid hearing people talking about me and Akira, I just distance myself from everyone. I ran away every time I hear them gossiping about us. After I graduated, I left here and live far away. Leaving everything behind, cut off all ties. I regret running away.

Now I'm over it and no longer care about what people are saying.

My head was rested on the table. I raise it slowly to look to Mikan who is standing in front of my seat holding a thick bundle of paper. I stretch my arms in the air and yawn.

"What time you finished your training yesterday? You look awful."

She revolted looking at me.

"Yesterday? I have to practice karate with other members because of the upcoming competition so we finished late. We were so immersed that we can no longer track the time."

"Good!"

"You feel good that I am so exhausted?"

I said with a condemning look.

"You know that I am too busy as a student council president so I cannot guard you all the time from that evil leech"

Eh! I wonder what will be her reaction if she found out that Lure became the manager of the karate club.

It happens a few days ago. She came to our practice and announced that she will be our new manager. Of course, the whole club was surprised and they all asked me questions about how do I feel about that. This is all because of the gossip spreading around the school that Akira left me to date Lure. No one believes that I broke up with him. Most of them show pity on me and keep expressing their sympathy. I just sigh to all that they are saying. No matter what I say no one believes me. They all just take it that I am so hurt and trying to be strong.

Because Lure became our new manager of course we have lots of new members now. It makes Aoi so happy. She actually laughs loudly seeing a large number of students wanting to join our club but I doubt they will last long because of the hell-like training Lure is giving.

I'm happy to see Lure is now interacting with other students but to avoid more issues between us in front of everyone Lure still keeps her cold attitude towards me.

I am impressed to Lure. She stayed with us until we finished our training. I wonder if she will really be able to keep up with this. Well, she told me that her father is overseas at the moment for some important matters. Mr. Iwato unbelievably changes after I talked to him. Lure said he is no longer that controlling to her and let her decide in her life now.

"Yuna Is it true?"

I turn my head to Aika sitting beside me.

"Huh?"

"We heard she is now the manager of your club?"

I heard a loud sound of papers being ripped behind me. My blood ran cold.

I turn my head back to Mikan and she ripped that thick bundle of papers in two. She is unbelievably strong.

The boys heard what Aika said so they all gather around us. Actually, the whole class heard her.

"Is that true?"

"Can we join your club then?"

"But don't you hate her?"

"Are you all good with that?"

"It must be hard, being together with her?"

They all raised questions again.

"Come on you all! stop bugging Yuna. This might be so hard for her." Romina said out loud.

***After class

"hai!", I sighed

"What's wrong Yuna?"

I look around to search where that voice came from. I see Lure standing not so far from me with a worried look. Her hair is pulled up and tied into a tight ponytail which is different from her usual look with her beautiful black hair just simply flowing on her back. She is wearing now a black tracksuit and a black cap. She looks so cool and so beautiful at the same time. She is holding a pen and a notebook to record our training. Today we are doing our training outside to test everyone's endurance. We are running around the soccer field wearing our karate uniform. All guys obviously trying to show off in front of her.

The moment she asked me all heads turn to look at us.

Lure is usually cold and never shows any concern to people around her so they are all surprised to hear the way she asked me.

Lure immediately switch to her signature cold look and emotionless tone.

"Are you slacking around? Do you think you are already good enough? Give me another three rounds now!"

What! I just finished 5 rounds.

My face falls down but I just followed her and run again.

"Wow! she hated you so much..."

I turn my head and on my side, Aoi is running.

She runs closer and put her arm around my shoulder and whisper.

"What do you think we should do on her? I hate people acting higher than me. I'm still the president of this club..."

"You Miss Ayaka Aoi, 5 more rounds!"

Lure shouted so all turn their head to her. I look at her and I see her furiously looking to Aoi.

Aoi always seems so boastful and above herself. She hates being commanded by others but she won't go against Lure. She knows that our club can easily be close down by Lure if she says so.

After training Lure stay at the club room to finish whatever she is doing in her notebook.

It's only the two of us left here. I am assigned to clean today. She sat seriously on the table at the side of our club room writing on her notebook. She looks so pretty while she seriously working.

"What are you doing?"

I grab a chair to sit in front of her.

"I am recording what everyone did today."

I look at her notebook. She is really serious about being our manager. In her notebook, she wrote down all of our member details with each one weakness and strengths, each required training and everyday improvements.

I thought she just became our manager because she wants to be close to me. I also thought because she came from a wealthy family she won't take this seriously so she won't stay long in our club. I already expect her to quit soon. I guess I misjudge her again like others.

Most of the girls in our school hate her because they thought she just uses her beauty and family name to get high grades. Now I know that whatever she does she always puts all her effort no matter how big or small is that. She also maintains her high grades and top one student position even she is busy attending our practice. She is really a very amazing girl. I just realize now how lucky I am because this person loves me.

"Lure thank you for your hard work.'

She stops writing and looks at me. I stand up.

"Our club is really lucky because we have you as our manager. Please continue taking care of us.

I said while bowing to her. I raised my head after.

"I will always do my best to help you Yuna because I love you."

She just said it to me with a straight face then her face turns red.

I feel my heart beats very fast and my face turns red as well.

"Uhm...about our date...Are you free tomorrow after our practice?"

I asked her with a smile.

"But don't expect much...I don't think I can reach your expectation."

"You actually don't need to do much because just being with you is always making me happy?"

This girl, she is always saying things that always makes my heart flutters.

"Ehem!"

We both turn around when we hear someone from behind. We look at the door and we see Mikan standing there.

Mikan's POV

I came here in a hurry because I can't really stand the thought that Yuna is with this evil leech.

"Mikan! are you done with student council work?"

Yuna asked a bit surprised when she saw me standing on the door. Her face is all red and she can't look directly on me.

I knew it, she is already falling for this evil leech.

She has that same look when she was with Akira.

I sigh...

"It's late already. We should go home."

"Oh yeah! Sorry I did not notice the time again. Uh! I have to take the remaining equipment to storage room. Is it ok to leave you two? I just need to finish this."

"Are you worried I will do something bad to your girlfriend?"

"Stop teasing me... You two please don't fight while I'm gone."

Yuna left taking all the remaining equipment with her while the evil leech is staying here with me. I look at her putting her notebook on her bag.

What's this awkward silence.

She tried to move the table. She looks stupid. With her stick-like body, she obviously can hardly move that.

"Do you need help with that?"

I asked her avoiding looking at her. She only ignores me.

She annoys me so I grab the other end of the table. She looks at me with disdain.

"I don't need your help!" She said as she pulls the table.

"You are so annoying. You really think you could just do everything!"

I said pulling back the table.

"Let go!" She said pulling back again.

"Why I should be the one to let go?" I said with a firm tone strongly holding on the table.

She let go of the table.

"I don't understand what we are fighting about?"

She said lowering her voice.

"What do you mean? Obviously, we are fighting because of your attitude."

I said holding my head high crossing my arms.

"Do you not like me or is it because you like Yuna? "

I was startled.

"Why are you...what are you talking about?"

I turn silent.

"I don't mean to take her away from you. You are her closest friend but I will not give up on her. Why don't you be honest with her and tell her how you feel?"

"Don't tell me what I have to do? I have my reason why I am keeping this."

She exhaled.

"Fine...you can help me now."

"What?"

"The table. You want to help me right?"

This girl is making me crazy.

"Are you making fun of me?"

"I don't care whatever your reason is. I already made up my mind. Yuna is mine."

"Don't think of her like a thing that you can just own."

"Who said I think her like that. I don't want to force my feelings on her...I want her to like me with all her heart. That is why I will work hard to get her heart and make her mine."

She sounds crazy but it cut deeply into my heart.

I also did my best to get her heart but why up until now I can only stand on her side as a friend. I waited patiently for her to notice that Akira is not worthy of her. Well, Yuna said even in her future with this girl as she hated most I still didn't get a chance to be with her. We only end up part ways.

"I will not forgive you if you hurt her. I can turn your life like hell so don't you dare!"

I told her pointing at her with a serious tone.

"I don't need you to tell me that. Why don't you just start lifting the table."

When I went back none of them are talking. Well, I guess it's better than seeing them fighting.
