As she stood at the top of the hill that overlooked Magnolia, Ella could feel a sense of home when she looked in the direction of the guild; Fairy Tail would he be there and if he was would he even remember her. Ella Dawn was an ice dragon slayer but she hadn't always been one, she had been training with an ice dragon named Verglas up until seven years ago when he disappeared, ever since then Ella had been traveling across Fiore in search of her childhood friend; she had heard he was here in Magnolia and as soon as she heard that she had jumped on a train and traveled all the way to Magnolia. Now her anxiety was kicking in and she was afraid this journey would be a failure only because she had over heard a few people on the train, say that most of the members from Fairy Tail had gone missing and not even the magic council could find them, the island they had been on had even gone missing after some kind of attack,

Taking a deep breath for courage Ella took a step down the hill only to trip and fall right into a kid practicing fire magic, the kid turned rubbing the back of his neck when he realized that Ella had bumped into him by accident.

"I'm so sorry I must have miss stepped." she began feeling bad having fallen on some kid, the boy grinned at her and helped her up; that's when she noticed the guild mark on his shoulder.

"Are you a member of Fairy Tail?" she asked pointing to his shoulder, he looked at his shoulder and grinned once again.

"Yea I'm Romeo, did you want to join?" Romeo introduced himself holding his hand out, which she took and introduced herself as well.

"I'm Ella, and to answer your question yes I'd love to join Fairy Tail." she knew this was one step closer to him and so she followed Romeo to the guild hall hoping he'd be there.

Romeo stopped in front of the doors and kicked them open.

"Hey dad I found someone who wants to join the guild." Romeo yelled to a man who was sitting at a table, the man stood up and circled around Ella sizing her up.

"So what kind of magic do you use miss?" he asked stopping in front of her, Ella smiled at the man and held out her hand.

"First of all my name is Ella Dawn and second I use ice magic well actually I'm an ice dragon slayer." after Ella said the last part the entire guild hall went silent. The person Ella assumed was the guild master shook her hand.

"Well Ella you just might be one of the best additions that our guild has had in a long time, I'm master Macao welcome to Fairy Tail." not long after that, Ella had gotten her guild mark on her left calf; it was black and faded to blue which Romeo had told her was unique since nobody in the guild had that kind of guild mark.

Seven years have passed since Ella had joined Fairy Tail and she had not only been working around the guild but she had also been trying to do whatever odd jobs that she could get, but the guild never really got that many job requests. This was one of the days that she was working around the guild with Laki and Kinana when Twilight Ogre showed up and as always they had started their crap but it didn't last long because the guy that was hassling everyone was flung across the room and everyone froze where they were and looked at the door.

"We're home guys!" a male with pink hair and a scarf exclaimed before him and a few others began beating up the guys from Twilight Ogre until they all ran away like the cowards they were. Ella watched as everyone bombarded everyone that had just walked in, one person had caught her eye and she couldn't help watching him and a few times she could have sworn she saw him watching her as well.

"Hey Ella, come meet Team Natsu one of the strongest teams in Fairy Tail." Romeo had called over to Ella as she passed, after she finished what she was doing; she sat at the table with Romeo and who she guessed was Team Natsu.

"Guys this is Ella, she joined shortly after you all went missing. Ella this is Natsu, Lucy, Erza, Wendy, Happy, Charle, and Gray they're Team Natsu." Romeo introduced them one by one and when he introduced Gray to her; she had looked at the dark haired boy and they had locked eyes. After a minute Natsu had elbowed Gray and Romeo nudged Ella causing her to jump making everyone laugh. Shortly after Ella went back to her work in order to give Romeo time to reconnect with his friends but every now and then, she would catch herself watching Gray and though she hadn't really gotten to talk to him that much; she knew that was her childhood friend that she had been looking for.
