At the bus
After eating breakfast and getting ready for school, I took my belongings upstairs. And, as usual, I was almost late for school because I was so tired last night despite getting a decent night's sleep, but happily, mom woke me up so I wouldn't be late. I initially checked to see if I was okay and then combed my hair. I slung my purse on my shoulder and stepped out the door once I realized I was fine.
As I stepped down, I noticed my mother scrubbing the table where we had eaten. Hillary isn't here anymore because she was leaving the house to go to school when I awoke. She leaves home early on sometimes, or perhaps she just wants to avoid my mom and me. I got closer to Mom when I realized I needed to give her something, but I forgot because I hadn't woken her up the night before. I took a white envelope from my bag and intended to present it to her.
