9 New Begining

I left the house three days' after I last talked to my parents in the dinning table.

I arrived in the airport together with Alisha, she is also going to California. She was accepted to the California College of the Arts for jewelry design. She was good at it even when we were children. The jewelries that Elsa throws away were all remade by her, she arrange it in various patterns and style then we'll sell it. And we made a large sum from it.

Since her school is in San Francisco we would not always see each other, but we promise to always spend a time to call or text each other. I will definitely miss her.

As I rode the plane bound for LAX, I look back from above then turn my face back in front, there, I left everything behind.

I left the anger, pain, and resentment I have for my parents.

I free myself from the hurts and heartbreaks.

From the hardship.

From everything.

This is my new beginning.

A start of another chapter of my life.

And I'm ready to face it!

I arrive at Los Angeles early, so booked a hotel room for a few weeks until I finish buying things for my dorm room.

After checking in the hotel I decided to check my dorm room first. I choose a Double Room with Private Bath for my dorm for the next 5 years.

I was lucky, I was able to be accepted in De Neve Commons Building its a Plaza so its great, though a little pricy but what's all the savings I have for. It was a great room and I will have a room mate. Yehey! I'm excited about my coming life. I know it would be hectic but its another adventure for me.

So after I looked at my room I planned what to buy and add to my new home.

After many days of buying and transfering things for my dorm room, I finished it perfectly. I also met my new room mate, Michelle. Shes' from California and she promise me a city tour in Los Angeles.

So after I finish all the things needed for my school and room, I decided to apply for an NCARB Record to begin my AXP (Architectural Experience Program). If you want to be an Architect you need to have experience, its a prerequisite for a license. You need to went through AXP to be allowed to take the licensure examination.

A supervisor was assign to me the following weeks along with my mentor. Both of them will guide me along my journey, called AXP for the next 3,740 hours. To finish AXP you need to be trained for 3,740 hours in 6 specific area of experience.

They told me, I can begin any time I want but they suggest that I do my AXP every Summer, so that I can focus in school.

My Supervisor has been a long time architect, Mr. Alexander S. Malcolm, he told me I would be his last trainee because he plan to retire within the next 10 years. He works with a big firm in Los Angeles called Finn & Buchanan. The firm has 5 branches across big cities in America.

My Mentor is Mr. Richard D. Reeves, he would be my guide, adviser, and coach as I went through this experience.

Also, Michelle finally toured me across the city. Its was so fun. She also invited some of her friend to acompany us. Even though Alisha is not with me, I found a friend in Michelle and that makes me happy.

After busying myself with every thing time passed by. School started its classes and Iam finally a freshmen.

Im so excited for this new chapter of my life.
