5 Death

Two years after that, my life have run smother. I got used to things and how it works.

I relax from all the trying I did to get attention from my parents. I stopped trying so hard to please them, where I know they don't even care.

I slack off on school. I was remove from my Top 5 spot but stayed in Top 10.

Over all, I just accepted that what ever I do, I'll never be noticed.

But things change suddenly, that changed my life forever.

I started to notice the changes, when everyone at the house started to whisper and when they see me, they stop.

It baffled me, what is happing?

It got to the point that everyone started looking at me with strange eyes. They look at me nervously, or sometimes even with pity.

I did not understand at all. Its very strange.

Then I heard the most heart wrenching news in my life.

Nanny Natalia is dying.

She was sick for a long time since the accident that killed her family but she didn't thought it would complicate, and affect her heart.

The diseases was slowly killing her.

When I learned of Nanny Natalias' imminent death, my world crumbled before my eye.

Even in my young mind, I know that she's the one who love me the most. The one who treats me as family.

My only family.

I couldn't accept the news. I don't want to. She's all I have!

Then the day I feared the most came to early.

"My child, do not cry." Nanny Natalia said to the crying Emma as she inhale deeply following hagard breaths.

"This is life, my love. Everyone dies one way or another. I'm just earlier than most. But, you also know, if not because of you I wont live this long." Consoling Emma in her hospital bed as she fights her tears.

Grasping for breath, Nanny Natalia continue to speak to Emma,

"Do you remember our dream Emma?"

"Oo...ou...our ho..house..ssse by the bea...ch." Answered by the crying Emma.

"Yes child, we promise each other that someday we'll build a beautiful beach house. Then every afternoon we'll have out afternoon tea by the veranda facing the ocean."

"I'm.....so...sorry, I cant be with you anymore and enjoy that scene. But Emma, promise me. Built that house, find a wonderful man to marry, have children, enjoy your life." Said the teary Nanny Natalia as she let her tears fall, she realized at that point. She will leave Emma alone in this cruel world with no one to hold on but her self.

"Find love child, you deserve love and hapiness. No one can take that away anything from you, not without your permision. Always remember, everyday is a new beginning. Everyday is a start, so take that chance my child, find your adventure."

"Find your hapiness."

"Promise me. Promise me child!" She made Emma promise, while holding her hand and looking at her beautiful grey eyes.

"I promise..hghh..Nanny Natalia. I pro...mise hghh!" Nodding Emma while tears continue to fall from her eyes.

"Use the money in you savings account for you college. Save that money for you future. You have a limitless future Emma. My wonderful and beautiful Emma." Looking at Emma with love and care in her eyes.

"I love you my child", she said looking at Emma.

"Be happy for both of us."

"Enjoy life"

"Live Emma. Live!"

Those were the last words she said to me.

As she close her eyes, I also close a part of my heart. And I dont know when will it open again or will it ever be.

At 12 years old I lost everything in a single death.
