20 Chapter 18

Li Qi Ye, Nan Huai Ren, and Yun Xie sat in anticipation, as the bubbles from the pot started to rise, filling the room with steam. In the pot, was an assortment of meat, vegetables, seafood, and other food.

"So…. What is this?" Nan Huai Ren was confused. It smelled really good, but he did not really know what was happening.

"Tis' called a Hot Pot. Literally a hot pot. When it starts to boil, you take stuff from it, and put it on your plate." Yun Xie vaguely answered as he took some white rice from a bamboo steamer.

Yun Xie had gotten some food from the local market and some food from his creation quirk. Most of them were from Toriko, as Toriko….. Probably had the best food.

It was really depressing that the series ended so quickly.

Some of the foods he got were…. Mini Moai Potatoes. It looked like a Moai, but a lot smaler, and was extremely fragrant. Cabbecheese, it was cabbage, put tasted like cheese, and some other delightful ingredients….

Yun Xie was suddenly struck by a genius idea…. Why didn't he just recreate the Gourmet World in this world… As a "Burial" ground of sorts. Wouldn't that be fun? Actually…. There were so many different regions he could create a land full of Titans, and maybe the Infinite Castle from Demon Slayer! Maybe not the titans though…

Soon, the broth began to really bubble, and Yun Xie passed around a few bowls of white rice.

He used some wooden chopsticks and took a few pieces of meat and vegetables from the pot. Putting it in his bowl, Yun Xie started to eat.

Nan Huai Ren quickly realized how to do it and followed after. Li QI Ye looked down thoughtfully. This meat…. It was unlike any he had ever tasted before. Actually, this invention… The hot pot was genius. So simple, yet so brilliant, he pondered. Who would think of such a thing?

They ate happily, enjoying the mood, chatting and laughing with each other. Li Qi Ye had also just started on the Hell Suppressing Physique and wanted to relax a little. Strange for him, but he had not enjoyed such an atmosphere in a while…

"Anyway… So I heard the pretty lady…. Liang Shiangyuan was arriving tomorrow?" Yun Xie questioned Nan Huai Ren, who nodded.

"Yes, Senior… But it actually is Li Shuangyan….." Nan Huai Ren was already used to his Seniors horrible

"Got it. Probably won't remember though…" Yun Xie sighed. In this world, there were too many non-important names in anime. Or he just sucked with Chinese names….

Next-Day….

Yun Xie walked to the front gates of the Sect. The only reason he had come, was because his two somewhat friends were going, Li Qi Ye and Nan Huai Ren, and a supposed festive atmosphere would be present. Or it would just be a bunch of girly fanboys at a kpop concert. Either way, it would still be rowdy and cheerful probably. Maybe he missed something, and Li Qi Ye beat the crap out of someone else here. Yun Xie couldn't really remember.

He waved to Li QI Ye and Nan Huai Ren, before walking over to a one Leng Shizhi, who trembled a little. SHizhi's previously calm confident expression broke, as he saw that monstrosity.

"Your master was sort of trash honestly…." Yun Xie patted Shizhi on the back. "Don't get cocky."

Yun Xie walked away, going back to where Li Qi Ye was. All the male disciples had dressed up nicely and were trying to act cool and stuff.

"Dang fanboys…. Have a little bit of dignity, can't they?" Yun Xie whispered to Li Qi Ye who nodded.

"True…. A lot of clowns." Li Qi Ye smirked.

Nan Huai Ren was sweating a little. Though his trauma of the two had somewhat dispersed. The fear of being near them in important events or near a lot of people was still present.

So all was quite normal.

Suddenly, a giant crystalline gate opened at the entrance, and people stepped out of it. The group was radiant, a stark contrast to most of the crowd who came to watch. The Cleansing Incense Sect disciples watched in awe, at the few people who came out.

Li Qi Ye was dressed in plain cotton and looked exactly like a mortal. Normal it seems….

Yun Xie wondered if he had any fashion sense. But then again, Yun Xie also wore normal stuff. Just a loose black monk's robe and dark blue hakama pants, he looked sort of out of place. But no one really complained as it was…. Him. And it actually looked pretty good.

Li Shuangyan walked out. Cold and arrogant as ever, dressed in a cold white color, causing even the moon and sun to blush in her presence.

As normal, all the male disciples went gaga, and all the female disciples were jealous, or in shock at her apparently "heavenly" appearance…..

Yun Xie took a swig of apple cider as the Incense Elders bowed, kindly leading the group of Saint Gate whatever people walked through.

Then, Li Shuangyan walked towards them. All the male disciples strutted up their heads and adjusted their posture. Leng Shizhi was completely confident that Shuangyan was walking towards him, so he smiled, ready to greet her.

She walked right past him.

"Pfft." Yun Xie stifled a laugh, about to walk away, covering his face. It was always hilarious when that happened….

"Li Gongzi. Yun Gongzi." Yun Xie looked back nodding his head.

"Ummm…. Aren't I like an irrelevant side character right now?" Yun Xie thought, scratching his head. Honestly, the Nine Saint Princess was also an irrelevant side character but…

Li Qi Ye also casually nodded.

Yu He, one of the guys from the sect greeted Li Qi Ye, but Yun Xie was not involved, so he just walked away. The disciples hurriedly making way for him.

Meanwhile…..

Yun Xie clone, or now referred to as Cao Xiong, greeted Dong Sheme, or whatever he was called. Wait… It was Dong Shenlong.

"I feel like they are on to me, so I am returning to the kingdom for now." Cao Xiong clone bowed to Dong Shenlong before realizing something. Couldn't he just kill Dong SHenlong too? Two infiltrators are better than one. And he was technically Yun Xie, so the original would agree. It would be messier, but it would work… "Also…. I just remembered something." Cao Xiong spoke, getting up and looking at the arrogant Dong Shenlong, who glared.

"What is it? Speak!" Shenlong spoke quickly, obviously irritated. This incompetent idiot would cost the Kingdom.

"Nothing personal" Cao Xiong sped forwards, hands flickering. "Fist of Whirling WInd, Slashing Steel!" Dong Shenlong was shocked, completely cut off guard, before he fell to pieces, blood spilling across the ground.

Cao Xiong sighed, cleaning up, and creating another clone, who in turn, turned into Dong Shenlong.

"This is weird…."

"I know right?"

The two clones chattered for a while, before going their separate ways.

The actual Yun Xie walked around, eating some more crab pig meat. Crab Pig tasted pretty good and made for quite a decent snack. Compared to normal pig or crab, it was on another level….

Then, after a while of doing nothing, he decided to go cill at Li Qi Ye's place. Yun Xie did not remember much about this point in the novel. The next big focal point thing he remembered was the Burial ground, and some other minor details. He could theoretically modify his [Archive] again, but that would be a pain….
