182 Light Levels Up

At this time, Lucifer, who had been run through drills with the troops and the kids, jogged over to meet the Orange Base troops. The Green Base troops had a rather mediocre relationship with Orange Base. When they saw the orange bands around their arm, they began jeering and laughing at their poor state. They had Aida, Rose and Little White leading them, which allowed them to circumvent most of the bigger threats and arrived practically unscathed. In response to the jeering, the Orange Base troops also began to get rowdy. It almost seemed as if a fight was about to break out.

Hearing the noise outside, Aida frowned and stepped out of the RV. Seeing the scene of both troops calling names at each other and on the verge of fighting, Aida prepared to intervene when there was suddenly a loud noise.

BOOM! The troops suddenly went eerily silent. They found their vision blurred and when everything came into focus again, they were in a fiery pit of hell. Light's image was amplified and his presence seemed to engulf the whole area.

Rather than being fearful, Aida and the others were excited. They knew this was a sign of Light being promoted to level 2. Uninhibited by the illusion, the twins ran into the RV and made their way up to Light.

Poking his head out, Light waved to them. Aida and Lucifer both signalled to him that they were all good before he went back into the RV and removed the illusion. As a mild germaphobe, he was eager to take a shower. The impurities from his body had all been pushed out of his body, creating a disgusting goo that stuck to his clothes. The twins eagerly waited outside the bathroom.

Aida and Lucifer turned their attention back to the troops. All the troops regained their vision and began muttering among themselves, wondering what had happened. They would cast occasional fearful glances towards the RV as if there were a monster residing in the vehicle.

Since they were pressed for time, Lucifer, with the help of both Seven and Three, worked to restore order among the Orange Base troops. They shouted at the Orange Base troops to fall in line.

On the other side, Aida simply sent a withering glare at the Green Base. Although her figure looked small and frail in contrast to the huge group of 800 (mostly) men, her presence was not something to be missed. They all bowed their head and retreated backward to restore their orderly lines. Rose and Little White watched from the side, amused by the scene.

Before they could completely retreat, Aida's cold voice sounded out again, "Act like this again, and all of you will be punished."

They all shivered and called out at the top of their lungs, "Yes boss!" Before organizing themselves at an even faster pace. Aida's deterrence was extremely strong.

Seeing the "cowardly" reaction of Green Base, the Orange Base began to laugh and jeer at them. "Haha, they got subdued by a woman. How laughable!"

The Green Base troops began to get riled up again but were immediately stopped by another withering glare from Aida. They couldn't stand seeing their beloved and respected base leader insulted, but they had forgotten just how capable she was. She was the very woman who single handedly subdued their entire base in 24 hours. This was a legendary stat no matter who she was compared against.

Realizing that she could handle the situation, they fell into line and waited to watch the show. Many of them were itching for some popcorn right about now.

Aida saw the Green Base troops obediently fall into line and turned her attention to Orange Base. She frowned at this blatant disrespect and was astounded by the lack of control Three and Seven had over this crowd. It seems she would need to teach them a lesson before they would obey orders.

She addressed the Orange Base troops with a glint in her eye, "Is there something wrong with being a woman?" This was going to be their last chance.

Not seeing the signals being sent by Seven, they all continued to laugh and jeer. Even Three, who was on the side, didn't make an attempt to stop them. Instead, he crossed his arms and watched the show.

"Yeah pretty lady!"

"Go make me a sandwich."

"I bet you'll be happy under me."

This time the Green Base troops were infuriated. An affront towards Aida was equivalent to an affront towards them. They couldn't allow this to stand! Just as they were about to move, Aida sent a second glance towards them. They all froze and stayed in place, secretly calculating how they could punish these people when Aida was out of sight. What she didn't know, she couldn't punish them for!

At the back of the Green Base troops was a handsome young man who glared particularly harshly towards Orange Base, killing intent could be seen in his eyes. The people besides him seemed to sense his violent thoughts and quietly distanced themselves from him.

Aida wasn't particularly bothered by the insults. Instead, she smirked at them. They had been given a chance, now she had every right to teach them a lesson.
